Scientists have discovered 6 types of coronavirus

Many types of corona are emerging. Scientists have discovered about 6 types of corona virus disease based on different symptoms, the group of symptoms of which is different. This research will help scientists identify the exact type of virus based on symptoms.

The study, published on the MedRXIV preprint platform, used data from around 1,600 people in the UK and US. Based on these data, it was analyzed which symptoms are seen together and how the virus is spread according to the symptoms. "Based on this information, it will be easier to identify patients whose symptoms are expected to be more severe," said Claire Steves, a researcher at King's College London.

These are the symptoms :-

• Flu-like symptoms without fever

• Flu-like symptoms with fever

• Gastrointestinal (stomach and intestinal)

• First-degree severity with fatigue

• Second level severity with confusion

• Severe third degree severity with pain in the abdomen and respiratory system

This research will help doctors understand how patients with symptoms are at greater risk of contracting the virus. A maximum of 4.4 per cent of those with the first three categories of symptoms need oxygen support. On the other hand, 8.6 and 9.9 per cent of the fourth and fifth type of people need oxygen support respectively. Up to 19.8 per cent of people with the sixth symptom may need oxygen support.

Only 16 per cent of patients with the first symptom need to go to the hospital, while about half of the patients with the sixth symptom have to go to the hospital. It was also found that the fourth, fifth and sixth types of symptoms were more common in older people.

Claire Steves of King's College London said that if on the fifth day of illness we find out in which category the patient is in corona virus disease then they can be better cared in time.
