Many states have gone in the wrong direction in the fight against coronavirus infection, said Tedros Adan Gebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization (WHO), during a briefing on Monday, July 13.

The protective system of the body does not recover even 11 weeks after recovery.

“I will be frank. Too many countries have gone in the wrong direction. Coronavirus remains the number one enemy of society, but the actions of many governments and people do not reflect this, ”said Gebreyesus, whose statement was broadcast on WHO's Twitter.

Which countries have chosen the wrong strategy to combat the spread of infection, the head of WHO did not specify.

A day earlier, the organization announced a new record for daily increase in COVID-19 cases - 230.3 thousand confirmed cases of COVID-19 were detected per day.

On July 7, Gebreyesus announced that the world had not yet reached the peak of coronavirus incidence. He added that the outbreak is now accelerating.

According to the representative of WHO in Russia, Melita Vujnovich, the organization almost every day records record levels of coronavirus infection in the world, which indicates an increase in the pandemic at the global level.

According to Worldometer data, on July 13, over 13.1 million cases of coronavirus were detected in the world, of which more than 572 thousand were fatal. Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 7.6 million people have recovered in the world.

He should have given a good direction when covid19 was introduced in china but he denied to to declare this virus. It is too late to give direction. Thats the reason why we are suffering.
