Remorse

Isn't it apt, that the change I tried to enforce was at the end of the day just a waste of time..?

Of all the things to forget, I just had to forget the most important after being repeatedly reminded not to forget. Even the genuine reason I have for forgetting is stupidly weak in comparison to this crime of forgetting.

My words of apologies just makes it worse instead of reducing the harm I've done. And my mind is blank because I don't know what to do to make it right. It's to the point where I don't know if I'd ever be able to correct this mistake of mine. A mistake that would have been so easy to avoid if I'd only just paid a little bit of attention.
