Water Festival

0 12

Today, June 24 we celebrate the fiest of Saint John the baptist. John is the one who baptist Jesus Christ.

In Niyugan Jaen Nueva Ecija they celebrated the fiest yearly not just only by preparing foods but also puoring some water to other people. None was excempted. Even the one who wear uniform or the one inside the jeepney or the tricycle is not exempted on the water festival.

I once experience it when I was in college. We were in the jeepney and someone spills a waters inside. Some were got angry but some respect the tradition of the Catholic.

Its there way of reminiscing John the Baptist. Its a tradition of thanking him and celebrating all the blessing and faith.

But now that we have the pandeminc many official of the town of which San Juan are the patron saint prohibited the splashing of water to prevent the contamination of the virus.

People are free to watch parade they have during the fiest but within their home and with physical distancing.

Viva Apong San Juan!

It would have been nice to see pictures of the water festival and learn more about it. This article is a bit too short. I would love to see you write more about this, so I can accept this submission. thank you
