This is an another article of my past experienced in life and I know I've been writing this kind of stuff for almost one week and I am planning to continue it until I get back with my mood on searching topics about parenting.
So for this article I wanna share to you my first visit on Rizal Park. This is also an unplanned visit and I will tell here why. So let's start.
When I was working on Makati , I have 2 officemate who I used to talk and have some conversation about different areas of our life. We are so comfortable to each other sharing our dreams and goals that we want to achieved and one of them is going abroad. We all know that working here in the Philippines as a minimum wage earner cannot sustain your luxurious or give you a comfortable life. That's the reality. Our salary is only enough for the bills that we need to pay and our allowance until the next salary came. If we want to have a travel and eat in something pricey we need to render overtime to earn for that particular travel or foodtrips. We are not contented on this kind of set up and we know to ourselves that we need a grow outside the company that we are working now.
So Anna started a conversation about the job hiring in abroad. That time Taiwan is in demand for a factory worker and the salary is good too. Our team leader here is and said that her Aunt is working on an agency that send people to Taiwan. We asked our team leader about it and how to got there. He give us the address of the agency and it is located on Ermita Manila. We planned to go thier in weekend and we scheduled the time and the place of our meet up. Since Justin is from Taguig , Anna is from Sampaloc and I am from Sta Mesa , we decided to meet up in Star Mesa PNR Station because Justin will ride PNR to make the commute time lessen and also cheap fare.
We ride a Jeep going to Ermita and go to Robinson Manila first because we are hungry. We decided to eat first before finding the agency. After we finished eating , we started finding the building where the agency located.
To make our search more easy , we asked some people in the road and we found it. We don't have any requirements that time because we just going there for inquiries and we get some of thier flyers and leave the building after. It was 3 in the afternoon when we leave the building and Anna suggest that we can go to Rizal Park first and take some photo because Rizal Park is just near in Ermita.
I am living in Manila for a couple of years but I never had a chance to visit Rizal Park and that's the first time that I will see it.
Rizal Park is also known as Luneta Park. This is one of the most historical place in Manila because in that place our National Hero Jose Rizal was executed on December 30, 1896. That land size of this park is 58 hectares.
Rizal was buried in Paco Cemetery but transfer in Luneta or Bagumbayan. It is called Bagumbayan before or the new village because it was a hub of the Spanish leisure class. The place has it's fresh air and also near the sea that why the Spanish and Manila elite found the comfort there.
Luneta came from the word Lunnete which mean crescent shaped structure for defense. It was used in fortifications during 17th and 18th centuries.
Rizal Park has a lot of space to be visit. There are place where you can just sit and relax. That is the place where you can do a picnic with your love ones. There's a fountain there that lights in during night time and the map of the Philippines that I only saw when I ride LRT Line 1 but during that time I saw it nearly.
We walked a feel the fresh air. Yes , even if you are in the city , the air there is fresh because there's a lot of trees and it feels so relax walking and see people walking too. Just enjoying the vibes of Rizal Park. I remember this picture , we walked here because we are thirsty and we looked for something to drink.
There's also a spot in Rizal Park where you can make a posing like this haha. The design of the tree is awesome and we cannot control ourselves but to make emote while Justin captured some photos. It is also a spot where is more silent that the other. We have a lot of photos in this spot and I love all of it.
You can also be child at heart because there's a big animal statues there. I remember that time , my head was in ache because my head bumps on the top of this statue while attempting to leave. There's also a playground for kids but during that time it was closed. After we walked and roam the area we go the greeny side of Rizal Park where the light fountain was located. We rest for about a couple of minutes and decided to go home because Justin's place is far. He just ride on the LRT UN Station instead of going back to PNR Sta Mesa Station. Anna and I ride a Jeep going to Sta. Mesa.
used to go there all the time after classes. We used to wait for fx there since all of them pass around there when heading south. It's been closed since the first lockdown and still is on my last visit to manila :"(
