The accident

Liam's POV

It's been a couple of weeks since I am not visiting Abby in the province. It's no need to do that because she and Dave are now okay. I missed her so much but I want to keep it in myself and never bother Abby. I continue my life at school. I act like a normal like I didn't missed Abby though sometimes I imagined that she's with me. My best friend was aware of my emotions and told me just to forget my feelings to Abby. I just smiled at her and said that I will do it because it's the best way to do.

I was sitting in a bench near our classroom when suddenly a girl confronted me and ask if where is Dave. I didn't know the girl and I don't have an ideal why she was looking for my brother. I asked her why she asked me about my brother and she said that she's my brothers girlfriend and it's been week since Dave texted her and never showed her up. I told the girl that I am not into the position to tell things to her and just wait for my brother to text her.

I am so disappointed to Dave if the statement of the girl was true. I asked Dave about it and he said that the girl who confronted me is not her girlfriend. He told me that it's just a fling, they go on a party and exchanging text messages but that's all. There's no relationship included and he only did that during those times that he was in confusion about his relationship with Abby. I told him to confessed that to Abby before Abby knows this to other people. He said he will do that whenever there's a chance.

It's weekend, we go on the province to visit Abby. I told him that it is the right time to confessed about his cheating. We arrived at the province and he was looking for timing. I let him and Abby to have a quality time and also to give Dave a time to talked about his mistake but Dave never tell about it. I asked him why he didn't confessed it and he said he was afraid of what Abby might felt. He didn't know where to start and what's the right word that he will say to Abby.

Time passed and Dave didn't confessed on Abby. Abby asked for a walk on the road near the mountain hill to do jogging and breath some air. I looked like a chaperone that time. I secretly felt jealous when they hold each other's arm but I act like normal. I stared to them secretly and sometimes Abby saw me staring at her. While we are walking, Abby saw a butterfly and that butterfly stayed on my shoulder. He asked Dave to capture the butterfly on my shoulder and Dave took a picture of it. Abby want to see the picture and while Dave was taking a picture of me Abby looked at Dave's screen and saw a picture of Dave and the other girl in the recent shot photos. Abby confronted Dave.

Who's that girl with you? Abby said with a calm voice.

It's just a fan girl. There's no malice in this picture. Beleive me and asked Liam about it. Dave said it confidently and he put me on the fire.

Abby asked me if Dave is telling the truth. I didn't talked for a minute thinking if I tell the truth o lie for my brothers sake.

Dave is right. It's just a fan girl and there's no malice on the picture. I said those word to support my brothers lie.

Abby looked at me disappointedly and said. I thought youre different but you're like them. Be good at lies.

Abby run away from us and go home. Her grandmother said Abby didn't want to see anyone and she said that don't force Abby and give her time.

We go back to Manila arguing. If Dave confessed it maybe Abby will understand it but he never did. We are on the house when Dave and me had a fight. I punched him and he punched me too. He said that I only doing this thing because I love Abby and I am just waiting for the break up. I told him that it's not my intention. I admit that I love Abby but I didn't want to ruin their relationship and be selfish like he was accusing me.

It told him this things. Yes I love her. But more than that I have to respect her and I know that she's inlove with you and I have to respect that. You make her happy and I will never get in the wayof what makes her happy cause thats how much respect I have for her. How about you? How much do you respect her? He backed out and leave me.

It's been days since Dave and I didn't talked to each other. I visited Abby without his consent. I am hoping that Abby would allow me to talk to her and explain things but I failed. I told his step father that I will wait for her on the Sala but it's been a couple of hours but Abby didn't talked to me.

I saw a recorder in the Sala, it was the old recorder that Abby used during her stay on the province. I recorded my message to her and then leave. I am on my way home to Manila when suddenly mom called me to pick up Dave in the bar because he was drinking and make a scene there. I drive going to the bar and I saw Dave inside. I thought he was still angry to me but I'm wrong.

He hugged me and said sorry to me. I already pick him and drive way home and while in the car we had a conversation.

I'm just a jerk. I am the biggest full. I don't respect to women especially to the one I love.

I told him that he can still fixed things ad we all made a mistake. He said he will confessed everything. He will admit all the things that he can't give her. I told him what is that.

He told me this. The time Liam. With you it seems so effortless. You've been always there for her Liam. You made up all my shortcomings. Bro, I don't deserve her, what she deserves is the love you only could give. I told him it wasn't my intention to steal her and he said that he knows that. He also added this words to me.

I bet she makes you happy and I saw Abby always looking at you in her birthday. I know you makes her happy too.

We shakes hand, sign of peace when a truck hit our car.
