My first ever contract on Upwork.
Yays! You read it right 😃 I got my first contract on Upwork yesterday. Maybe you might think that my prayers already been answered or my freelancing journey is about to begin but it's not my friend. I will tell you why. So a week ago I thought of opening my Upwork account just because of boredom. I stopped watching free webinars and attending online free training because of my anxiety. I am having a hard time focusing on what to learn because of being anxious that's why I decided to stop learning for a while and focus in writing in Hive , blurt and read.cash. I also shared that I started doing affliate marketing just to divert my anxiety into something productive that will not affect or will not give my head a pain. When I opened my Upwork account there's a section there wherein Upwork will recommend a relevant job for your profile and I found a job posting wherein your task is sharing articles on social media. The rate of the work is just 5$ only and Upwork will deduct 1$ for the service fee meaning you will earn 4$ for one week of sharing articles. I know you have a thinking it's just a small amount of money and like what I said I can earn that amount on blogging for a day or two but I still apply for that job post. I made a proposal attaching my cover letter. As of the moment my cover letter is not yet good and I just offer my help to him and I didn't expect that he will replied. Yesterday I am in my in-laws house when I opened my Gmail and I saw a message of Upwork and the client message me. I even send a screenshot to our telegram groupchat and asked them if I can do that job and @Eybyoung said just try it. I am not aiming for the money or income, all I want is to experience how to deal with clients like yesterday I was nervous when he started to discuss what to do and Im nervous asking him about the job and how to do it.
***Whats my job?*** So my job is to create traffic on his website. I need to promote his article on his website and I need to reach people from USA,Canada and UK. He said I need to use Twitter, Stockwitts, Yahoo finance, YouTube, Facebook and Reddit to reach people. I started doing it on Twitter and then I created an account on Stockwitts, searching relevant YouTube videos and commenting his articles there. I also joined different groups in Facebook talking about stocks because his website is all about stocks. I told him that I will try to do it for one week and he said he will give me a feedback everyday if I able to help him creating a traffic. He told me that he is not aiming for money now, all he want is to people being able to get familiarize with the website. He is too busy and can't able to do the job on his own that's why he find someone who can help him. You can also check his website ***here***. P Apaka cool naman yan, and yess cguro napakaliit lng ng earning na makukuha niya but if yung intensiion mo talaga is wala sa money oK lang peru may makukuha ka padin something benifits from that like familiarizing nung mga sites. Keep it up my friend :)

You are right that $5 is really small but gaining experience is also a good move. However, I hope it will not affect your *future rates* when a client approach you. Nevertheless, it's great that someone contacted you in a short period of time. Sana all!
