Home made mango jam

Its a season of mango now. A lot of mango are sold in the market with a cheap price. Some of the mangoes were being over ripe because its plenty.

My mother was able to dispose the over riped mango because no one has the interest of eating it so I decided to take it a made a jam out of it.

I used only two ingredients.

5pcs overriped mango

1/4 kilo of washed sugar.

Procedure :

  • Peel of the mango and slice it into dice size. Set it aside

  • Ready the pan. Pour the dice mango and the sugar.

  • Let it simmer with a low fire.

  • Always check to prevent being burned.

  • Cooked it atleast 10 to 20 minutes until it achieves the jam texture.

  • Let it cool and you can serve it.

Personally, It taste like dried mangoes. Its best partner with crackers or just a dessert. I also make a mango pie with that mango jam and I will write it on my next article.
