Based on the 22 issues that 'Biden

-The whole world system will change through Harris' administration!

1) Indo-Pacific Strateg:

These regions in South Asia and the Indian Ocean are China's "Belt and Road Initiative" on the one hand and the "Indo-Pacific Strategy" of the United States on the other. What will Bangladesh do in this situation? Will you join China or the United States? Will both countries withdraw or will a balance be reached by joining the two countries?

The Obama administration declared "Rebalancing to Asia" in 2011 to establish US political and economic authority in South Asia, India and the Pacific, and to reduce China's influence in those regions. Then after Donald Trump came to power in 2016, he announced it as Indo-Pacific Strategy Vision. But the Trump administration has not gone too far. The United States, Australia, Japan and India are considered to be its most important partners, but the Biden-Harris administration would like to involve India and other countries in the Pacific (Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka) in this vision.

Think a little deeper,

Both the Indo-Pacific Strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative have two components. One is security / political and the other is economic. I think Bangladesh should be an economic partner with both.

If Bangladesh only considers the economic aspect, it does not seem that China will be dissatisfied with it. For example, Japan is a security partner of the United States but Japan and Beijing are implementing huge economic projects together and Japan, Australia and India are all friends of the United States. They also maintain close economic ties with China. Then where is the problem for Bangladesh! The Indo-Pacific Strategy is a vision and everyone considers it with their own national interest and that is why it has different meaning and importance for each country.

2) Growth in arms trade worldwide:-

The US economy is in its most fragile state since 1933 due to the coronavirus, so Biden has promised economic recovery. On the other hand, a large part of the US foreign reserves comes from selling arms abroad. So, in order to overcome the economic recession, will you miss the opportunity of economic recovery by selling arms to the rebel groups by waging war again in the Middle East and African countries through Mossad and CIA !! Because Biden learned from his boss (Barack Obama) in 2006 how he had won the admiration of ordinary Americans over the eight-year recession.

3) Washington Consensus:

The Washington Consensus was formed with multinational corporations, the world's most powerful state, under the leadership of the United States, to establish American political and economic authority in the world. The United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization. But Trump has not been able to use these institutions to lead the United States in the world. The days ahead will tell whether the Corona-era economic downturn will lead to low-interest lending to African, Latin American and Asian countries through these institutions and a return to the old tradition of extracting Third World mineral resources through multinational corporations!

3) Not withdrawing US troops from Muslim countries:

Following the Taliban's terrorist attacks on New York and Washington DC on September 11, 2001, the United States established military bases in most countries of the world for their security. The seven most active countries in the world today are Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Nigeria. Do you understand ?? All are Muslim countries. Before Barack Obama came to power, he criticized Bush, saying he would withdraw troops from those countries, but he has increased troop deployments, far from withdrawing troops. Trump also said in his political campaign that he would withdraw US troops from Afghanistan, but four years later he did not. Similarly, in the first presidential debate in the Democratic Party, incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris has said that the US will withdraw its troops from Afghanistan, but neither will the Biden-Harris administration. The reason is that those who work for US security think that withdrawing our troops from these Muslim countries means creating safe havens for other militant groups, including the Taliban and IS. In the absence of US troops in these areas, militants or jihadists will be able to reactivate, regroup, operate independently, and carry out attacks like the Nine-Eleven. So in the interests of US security, Biden will follow in the footsteps of his predecessors.

5) Interference in the internal affairs of the state:

In general, Donald Trump's diplomacy was centered on the Middle East, North Korea, Iran. He did not pay much attention to the subcontinent, Africa, or the Third World. But Democrats are focused not only on the subcontinent but also in diplomacy with every country in the world. For example, in the African country of Tanzania, elections were held a few days ago. In a very authoritarian manner, the Russian-backed John Magufoli became president for a second term.

6) Relations between Bangladesh and the United States:

A) Many think that with Biden coming to power, Bangladesh can get JSP benefits again. Before the Rana Plaza incident, Bangladeshi garments were exported to the United States duty free, which is called JSP facility. The Obama-Biden administration canceled the JSP facility after the Rana Plaza workers 'movement in the United States. Moreover, the US workers' organizations are not satisfied with the workers 'wages and workers' benefits in Bangladesh. Let's face the labor movement again with JSP facility. However, keeping all these aspects in mind, the Bangladesh government will also try its best to realize whether the JSP facility can be realized. Neighboring countries like Vietnam are able to export their garments to the United States duty free.

B) Many think that the United States will look at Bangladesh through India's eyes on the one hand because of India's huge economy, India's occupation of the US technology market, direct hostility to China and Vice President Kamala Harris's birthplace, recently buying submarines from Bangladesh. Our foreign minister says the United States will look at Bangladesh independently. In fact, how the United States views Bangladesh depends largely on Bangladesh's foreign policy. Now, if Bangladesh can persuade the Biden administration through persuasive diplomacy that Bangladesh is geopolitically and strategically important in reality, then the United States is obliged to look at Bangladesh independently.

C) And whether Bangladesh will side with the United States on the Rohingya issue also depends on Bangladesh's current diplomatic activities. But we are optimistic.

7) Return to the familiar face of the United state

Professor Andrew Buckwich, author of The Limits of Power and an American critic of being an American, mentions five key features of the American state system. Features are,

1) America's world domination must be considered beneficial. That is, America's purpose is to do good to others.

2) It must be assumed that any lapse in US leadership will lead to global chaos.

3) That is why the United States thinks it is its responsibility to establish world democracy and to use military force, even if it is justified.

4) It is necessary to increase the US military power in order to intervene in the internal affairs of other countries and if necessary, it is necessary to carry out US military activities in more than one region.

5) America's foreign diplomacy and politics will be aggressive and its only goal is to defeat any power.

Notice that none of these five features were missing from the Obama-Biden administration when he was vice president.

Relations with India:

First, Joe Biden, on his campaign website, sharply criticized the restoration of special status for Indian-administered Kashmir, the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Even newly elected US Vice President of Indian descent Kamala Harris has spoken out against various policies of the Hindutva nationalist government in India. Second, at an event in Texas last year, Narendra Modi publicly called on Donald Trump to win again. So many may think that Modi-Biden relationship will not be so good. In fact, this is not the case. India is an old ally of the United States. China is the direct enemy of India and China is also the direct enemy of the United States. So in Kautilya's language, the enemy of the enemy is my friend. That is why India needs the Biden administration to curb China's influence in South Asia.

Relations with China:

Many may think it's because of Trump's trade war with China, various sanctions, accusations of the coronavirus epidemic, or the so-called Chinese virus.

The Chinese government is angry with Donald Trump. So China is happy that Biden has won. In fact, this is not the case. Because of Trump's "Let's go it alone" foreign policy, China took that place in the absence of the United States in global leadership. China is a little uncomfortable with Biden coming to power. The Biden administration will continue the US trade war with China, but with some tactics. Because in the trade war with China, not only Trump had an interest, but also the people of the United States. China is stealing a lot of US intellectual property. Not only Trump but also Democrats are furious about this.

Relations with Germany: 7

German Chancellor Angela Merkel seems to have breathed a sigh of relief when Democrats came to power. Many of the multinational corporations that Germany is economically dependent on have suffered because of Trump's loss of free trade and trade war. So relations between the United States and Germany will return to normal.

★★ US-Iran relations:

First, Iran's current economy is at its lowest ebb under US sanctions under the Trump administration. Second, Donald Trump has distanced himself from the nuclear deal with Iran. Third, he has assassinated General Qasim Soleimani, Iran's second-most powerful man and popular leader. Revenge for Soleimani's assassination is still one of the biggest agendas for Iranians. However, under Joe Biden, Iran has the opportunity to return to negotiations. Biden has also promised to return to a nuclear deal with Iran and to pursue a diplomatic approach.

Relations with Egypt:

Trump's relationship with Egypt's military-backed President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi was fairly good. The Trump administration has been silent on extrajudicial killings in Egypt, judicial delays, torture of journalists and other human rights violations. So human rights groups have begun to see a new light of hope in Joe Biden's victory. Workers hope the new US administration will put pressure on Egypt on human rights abuses and repression of dissidents.

Relations with Israel:

Without Israel, increasing US influence in the Middle East and saving oil and gas in the Middle East is almost impossible. So Israel needs Biden very much. This time, he will try to return to the status quo that Biden left when he was vice president.

See the world through the eyes of America:

Hans Morgenthu, author of the famous book Politics Among Nations and an international relations analyst, said long ago that Americans see the world only from their point of view. They think that future events will be like the decisions or plans of the United States. Or the idea that others will think like us. Who cares why we have so much trouble with US politics? The headache is because what the future holds depends on US foreign policy. The 46-year-old's political career and his experience in international politics and diplomacy will be realized after he enters the White House on January 20!

ঃ Relations with the United Kingdom:

Although Joe Biden was very critical of Boris Johnson's Brexit when he was vice president

He described Johnson as a "physical and mental clone" of Trump. However, it is important to keep in mind that the friendly relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom is historic. As a result, Biden-Johnson will work together in the interests of the country, despite disagreements in some areas, even if they disagree.

ঃ Relations with Russia:

The first is that the United States is more friendly with friendly countries, announcing to be tougher with dictators is one of the agendas of Joe Biden's election campaign. Second, the Democrats lost the 2016 election because of Russian meddling. Third, Moscow-Washington relations have been hostile since the Cold War period, but under Barack Obama, the relationship has become much more bitter. The bitter relationship has eased under Trump. So now all in all, the think tanks think that the Biden-Putin relationship will be very hostile.

ঃ Relations with North Korea:

Trump has twice negotiated directly with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, but failed to make demands. North Korea also continues to build nuclear weapons. Kim Jong-un once called Joe Biden a "crazy dog." The Biden administration will not easily go to the negotiating table with Pyongyang. In that case, the heated relationship between the two countries will return. Because Biden will now do his best to curb North Korea's nuclear activities, along with his old allies the European Union and Canada.

ঃ Relations with Canada:

You know that the United States is called a "virtual island". Because the sea is on both sides of the United States, no one can attack the United States by this sea route and there are only two countries Canada and Mexico on the other two sides, the United States has good relations with these two countries. So the United States is very safe.

Justin Trudeau breathed a sigh of relief when the Democrats won. Canada-US relations have been strained since Trump became president. Joe Biden also called on Canadians to re-elect Justin Trudeau in the Canadian election. Trudeau also spoke to Biden on the phone yesterday morning. Corona pledged to work together on climate, global issues.

Immigration policy:

Biden's immigration policy will be much more flexible than Donald Trump's.

Biden has vowed to overturn many of President Trump's immigration decisions, which he issued through executive orders, within the first 100 days of taking office. He is not one to take lightly the task of picking up talented people and recruiting cheap workers from the net of scholarships all over the world. But there are also some good intentions:

A) It includes the policy of separating children from their parents at the border of the United States and Mexico (Family Separation policy).

B) Mr. on the number of applications for asylum in the United States. Trump sets that limit

You will also cancel it.

C) lift the ban on people traveling to the United States from several Muslim-majority countries.

D) He also called for the protection of those who were allowed to stay in the United States illegally as children during the administration of former President Barack Obama.

To get a clearer idea about immigration policy, you can read my post "Where the policy differences between Trump and Biden are".

ঃ Relations with the European Union:

The European Union's relations with the United States have been strained during the Trump administration. But now with the Biden administration in hand, that would be much more normal. Reason:

A) At a news conference in Brussels a few days ago, European Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dobrovki said that the European Union's trade situation with the country would return to normal after Donald Trump's departure from the US presidency.

B) The EU was considering imposing a 400 billion tariff on the transportation and services of US aircraft manufacturer Boeing. But with the change of president, European trade ministers are considering moving away from the decision.

C) In addition to other issues that are currently in conflict with the United States - a landmark decision can be reached in a few weeks, said the Executive Vice President of the European Commission.

ঃ Join the Paris Climate Agreement: ঃ

Joe Biden mentioned in his campaign that climate change is a threat to existence. He will take swift action with the rest of the world to reduce carbon emissions. His first task will be to rejoin the Paris Agreement. The agreement pledges to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the United States by 26% by 2025 compared to 2005. He proposes to invest about পৌ 2.5 trillion in research on environmentally friendly technologies. Bring down to zero.

★★ Withdrawal of Muslim ban:

Joe Biden has announced the lifting of travel bans on citizens of Muslim countries that were imposed during Trump's rule. Muslims will lift the ban in an executive order on the first day of Biden's presidency. Addressing the Muslim community, he said, "As President, I will work with you to honor your contribution and to eradicate hatred from society." My administration would like to see the contribution of Muslim Americans at every level.
