So before we go to the point let us first know what is fake news or false information, fake news is a broadcast or published as news for fraudulent or politically motivated purposes. Take this as an example of what can happen if fake news is spread. Fake news Bad information. The abundant misinformation has left many people overwhelmed and wary of what they read online.

The consequences can be serious take the 2016 election for example, where the Russian government used an army of bots and trolls to spread disinformation and create discord via Facebook and Twitter which was shut down by Congress.

How can you tell if a news story is fake?

Its researchers assess “news stories for signs of falsified evidence, such as manipulated or misrepresented images and quotes” as well as looking for evidence of systematic misinformation campaigns.

in order to avoid Misinformation, we need to stay vigilant with what we read. It’s important not to rely on one source for almost everything instead, expand your scope by seeking out multiple sources or reading sources with differing perspectives, in this way we can combat Fake news from spreading.

In order to raise the awareness of people who do not know how to differentiate fake news from existing and real information. They should not rely on one source of information instead they should seek multiple sources of information in order to avoid misinformation, in this era of technology, people now are learning to tell apart between Fake News and Real News.
