Stress on a limited scale can be beneficial. It can help us perform efficiently or it can be a catalyst to improve our ability to focus on a task at hand.
But stress brought about by unforeseen events such as loss of loved ones, losing a job and family issues can greatly affect our stress tolerance. Study shows that our ability to cope with stress will depend on our stress tolerance.

Can we do something to be on the high tolerance category?
Since our stress tolerance is embedded in our genes, we cannot change our stress tolerance.
How can I identify my stress tolerance?
High stress tolerance- if you are a type of person that is still focused and efficient even going through unimaginable tough times.
Low stress tolerance- if you are easily overwhelmed by stress and is suffering from stress related ailments such as lack of confidence, mental problems, sleeping disorders, etc.
Stress will drastically change our outlook in life and since we can't change our stress tolerance level, what we can do is to manage it in our personal tolerance zone. Try these simple measures and see if it works:
Get enough sleep
Avoid junk foods
Eat healthy foods
Avoid caffeine and alcohol over consumption, these chemicals can disturb the proper functions of your hormones
Regular exercise can have a huge impact on your stress tolerance.
