Aerial Photography (Eng / Spa) The salt mine of Ibiza. Salt was the only industry on the island of Ibiza until the arrival of tourism in the 1960s. This aerial photograph shows the colours of the different salt ponds, due to a microorganism called Archaea halophila that produces pinkish, red and orange tones in the salt.
