0 17

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a very common spreaded infection and it is the infection of the urinary system. Uti may include any part of your urinary system, including the urethra, urinary tract, bladder, and kidneys. Symptoms usually include a need to urinate often, pain when urinating and feeling pain on your side or lower back. Often the infections of the urinary tract can be treated with the course of antibiotics.

UTIs are common infections that occur when bacteria, often from the skin or rectum, enter the urethra, and affect the urethra. Bacterial Infections can also affect other parts of the urinary tract.

Types

Urethra (urethritis)

Urethritis is inflammation of the urethra. Urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside the body and, during urination a lot of burning occurs.

Bladder (cystitis)

Cystitis is a very severe and chronic condition that causes bladder discomfort, bladder pain and pelvic pain. Pain increases slowly from mild to severe.

Kidneys (acute pyelonephritis).

Acute pyelonephritis is a bacterial infection of the kidney parenchyma that can be erectile and/or life-threatening and that often leads to kidney scarring. In these cases bacteria usually come above the lower end of the urethra, but can also reach the kidney through the blood.

Treatment

A simple uti can be treated with a short course of antibiotic drugs. A short, 3-day course of appropriate antibiotics will often treat uncomplicated utis. However, some infections may need to be treated for a long time. Although, we should always try good hygiene to stay away from infection.
