Hira cave is one of the places that enjoys great sanctity in the hearts of all muslims.

In it, our honorable messenger, may the best prayers and peace be upon him, was worshiped, and in which gabriel, peace be upon him, came down with the revelation,

so we decided to dedicate this article to you to tell the story of the prophet in the cave of hira.

all the people of mecca used to worship idols instead of god, and the messenger of god, may god bless him and grant him peace, denounced that.

He never worships idols, so he used to say to his wife khadija, may god be pleased with her, o khadija, by god i will never worship al-lat, and by god i will never worship al-uzza.

Khadija replied to him: vinegar al-lat, vinegar al-uzza, and the messenger of god, may god bless him and grant him peace, was taking his food and drink.

He goes to hira cave in jabal al-nour, and this mountain was at the farthest point of mecca, from where you can see the holy kaaba.

May gods prayers and peace be upon him, he would resort to it to contemplate gods creation and the greatness of his power, and he would always think about how to worship his lord.

This question caused him great confusion, until gabriel, peace be upon him, descended upon him, and gabriel said to him:

(read, and the messenger of god, may god bless him and grant him peace, said: i am not a reader. He said: so he took me and covered me until i was exhausted.

Then he sent me and said: read. I said: i am not a reader, so he took me and covered me for the second time until i was exhausted. Then he sent me and said: read.

I said: i am not a reader, so he took me and covered me for the third time until i was exhausted, then he sent me and said: read in the name of your lord who created.

He created man from a clot. Read, and your lord is the most generous, who teaches by the pen. )

the messenger of god, may god bless him and grant him peace, intended until i was exhausted, that is, he was unable to breathe.

While gabriel, peace be upon him, meant when he said, read, that is, read with gods power and strength, not with your own power and strength, for just as he created you, he will teach you.

After that, our master gabriel, peace be upon him, left the messenger of god, may god bless him and grant him peace, and he hurried, may gods prayers and peace be upon him.

He went home, showing signs of panic, and told his wife khadija everything that had happened while his body was trembling from the horror of the situation.

So khadija, may god be pleased with her, reassured him and said to him: (no, be glad, for by god, god will never disgrace you, for by god, you will uphold the ties of kinship and speak the truth.

She carries everything, provides for what is lacking, welcomes the guest, and helps in the calamities of truth. She took him to her cousin, waraqah ibn nawfal.

He was known for his abundant knowledge of christianity, so the messenger of god, may god bless him and grant him peace, narrated to him what had happened to him in the cave of hira.

Waraqah gave him the good news that he was a prophet of god and said to him: (this is the law that was revealed to moses), and that was the beginning of the revelation.
