Ghetto
I grew up in a ghetto where evil glitter,
While kids learned to pull a trigger,
I learned to play soccer, and watched musicians finger the strings of a guitar,
While they derived pleasure in violence, music was my joy bringer,
Around the neighborhood, evil litter,
Today, the evil of yesteryears still linger,
While some have lost their lives, some live in places worst than a gutter,
Although I am not yet at the top where I belong, I can watch the performance of my favorite singer,
For some who were lucky to get married, they have become wife beaters,
Some have earned a living by becoming gold diggers,
With hearts so devilish and bitter than alomo bitters,
Although some live, some have been jailed or killed for being thugs to election riggers,
Many of my friends have lost their lives, and some who were lucky, lost all of their fingers,
Every day for them I shed tears worth more than twenty-five liters,
But I am thankful that today I can peacefully listen to lovely songs from Wizkid, Buju,Davido I grew up in a ghetto where evil glitter,
