The Parcel

"That was a very special thing that he has to deliver on that day to his grandfather's hometown".

Joey was a man who is afraid to travel but her father have ordered him to deliver the parcel to his grandfather. He was clueless of what it is, because it was a surprised gift from his father to his grandpa. He needs to travel for an hour to reach his destination, and the only way to go there is to ride on a train.

Joey has a "Siderodrophobia", means he has fear of trains, which he need to conquer. His father have instructed him to fulfill his task on that day or else he will not be given an allowance for his trip with his friends. He was struggling because its his first time to travel.

On the next morning, Joey rise up early and bring the attache case that contains the parcel that he needs to deliver. Even if he is nervous but his taking the challenged to prove his father that he can be trusted with simple things. He arrives early on the train station, he started to felt nervous and his feet was shaking and he can't almost step on the train, but he was being pushed with the people on his back because he takes time staring on the front door. He put on his head set to listen his playlist and trying to comfort himself, he hugged tightly the attache case that seems like it's his only friend.

On the other hand, there's a man on the right side of Joey who stared at him closely while his holding that thing so tight. When the train had suddenly stop, and he lose in his arms the attache case and fall underneath of the chair, which he couldn't see because there are a lot of passengers feet beneath. He breath deeply and his heart was pumping too fast because of that,he search for it, when he noticed that there is a hand that grab on his thing. He was looking with the man inside the train, but he couldn't find it anywhere.

He was blaming himself of what had happened, he slap his face and almost jump on the window, but he is afraid to die and he is wavering in fear.

After an hour the train finally stop, and he runs quickly outside, and his vomiting over and over again. "That was a tough ride".

While he was walking on roadside, and scratching his hair, he noticed an old man who cries on a bench.When he comes closer he realized that it's his grandfather. Joey called his grandpa and ask him on why did he cried.

"She is the love of my life, your grandmother".

Oh really grandpa, "Yes it's her old portrait which I have created during the day that he said yes to me. This is my first picture of her which I never saw for more than 50 years. "

Joey have seen her grandfather crying for the first time, but her grandpa seems very happy on that moment.

He goes with his grandpa's house and when they are about to step on the car he saw the attache case on the roadside and it was already opened. His supposed to get it, but he realized that it's already useless because it's already empty. Joey didn't told his grandfather why did he came into his place because he was still afraid of his father gonna tell him if he can find out of what had happened.

Early in the morning, Joey travel back home and his riding again on a train, he saw the man that take away his attache case on the bench near the train. But, the train was already moving, Joey look outside the window and the man said to him"Your parcel was useless", and the train run so fast.

At 6 in the evening he finally arrived home, and his father is in the front door, his already preparing himself if ever he gonna slap him. What a poor guy!

On his surprised, her father have welcomed him with a big hug. Congratulations,my son, your parcel is completely delivered. "Huh!, How did it happened. Joey said.

I've called your grandpa tonight, and he said that," he finally saw the old portrait of your grandmother".

That's good news dad, I'm glad to hear that? (while scratching his head).

Early in the morning his dad knock on his room, and wake him up because her friends was already outside waiting for him, and his amazed because his dad give him $1000 for his ravel allowance.

"Good job my son!"

Joey's dad was very happy because for a long time, he never had a good communication to his father, because he promised to find the old portrait which he lost many years ago. And then, finally Joey have unintentionally delivered it without his knowledge.

(The snatcher have thrown away the attache case and the Parcel was blown with the wind, his grandfather have found it on the roadside while walking heads down)

What was the most memorable thing that you've always remember and cherished for a long time. For me it's:

First, a Short letter as in a 1/4 size of paper which is given by my friend a 13 years old girl.

Second is our old photos together with my parents, that's was the sweetest thing that I've always wanted to remember and see everytime.

That letter was very inspiring, and a heartwarming letter that encourage me to do my best. That was given to me, way back 2016 when we have a "Out of School Training". Everytime I feel discouraged, it reminds me that there's someone whose looked up to me, and see me as an older sister.

There are things that we may think we just doing it for nothing, but we didn't realized that it gives an impact to others.
