Leiria Medieval- A medieval festival in portugal

Every year in july Leiria goes back in time to the medieval era, for days they recreate history and every year the theme is different, each theme however is related to the towns long history.

Kings and queens, nobles, merchants, commoners, artisans, mystics and artifices all trades and social classes come toguether in order to relive medieval times in the historic center of Leiria.

With the aim of enhancing the county's cultural identity, Leiria Medieval is filled with activities for the whole family and for all cities, also including gastronomy and stalls selling handicrafts and arts products.

Alongside musicians and entertainers people walk around with their families for a day filled with entertainment, culture and cheer!
