After pioneering 5G technology in the flagship 8-series of chipset and bringing it to the midrange flagship processors 7-series and 6-series, Qualcomm® announced at the ongoing IFA that it will expand it's 5G portfolio of chipsets to ultra affordable 4-series of SoCs.
Cristiano Amon, President, Qualcomm Inc. said,
"Qualcomm continues to pave the way for 5G commercialization at scale, and the expansion of 5G into our Snapdragon 4-series is expected to address regions that currently have approximately 3.5 billion smartphone users combined."
Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 4-series of processors are targetted at entry level smartphones which sells huge in scale, bringing 5G technology in the entry level devices will make technology in hand to the millions of users.
