The presence of worms in the stomach (English: helminthiasis) is an infection that has worm parasites living inside a person's stomach. Because of this status, the nutrition that the person eating should receive depends on the edible stomach worms. Because a person with "worms" in the stomach receives almost no nutrition, this person becomes ill and loses body weight, as these worms harm the human body by stealing the nutrients available from in foods. Types of worms The stomach worms include the Ascaris or roundworm, hookworm, and the Trichuris or whipworm.

Symptoms of having worms in the stomach include stomach aches, stomach swelling (especially in children) because the stomach contains large numbers of worms, worms that may appear when the person is diarrhea, vomiting that there are worms coming out of the mouth, anemia, slowing the growth of the affected child, and affecting the schooling of children with stomach worms. The stomach worms do not help digestion.
