Americans restored the government to Clark Air Base in Pampanga in November of that year, and Subic Bay Naval Base in Zambales in December 1992, ending nearly a century of U.S. military occupation in the Philippines.
Corazon Aquino died on August 1, 2009 at the Makati city medical center, illness of Colon Cancer.
