Dreams is the personal experience of imaginary images, sounds / voices, thoughts or feelings while asleep, often involuntarily. Dream is related to rapid eye movement (REM) in sleep, a light form of sleep that occurs in late sleep, characterized by rapid eye movement, stimulation of the pons, elevation shortness of breath and heart rate, and temporarily impaired body. This can happen in other parts of the sleep as well, though it is not very common.

Hypnogogia is thought to be related to the dream, which occurs naturally as it approaches deep sleep. Dream is a language of imaginative picture. From the ordinary to the pointless this imaginary picture; in fact, these dreams often evoke artistic and other forms of inspiration. The forms of the dream include scary or anxious nightmares and erotic dreams including sexual photos and evening outings.

Most scientists believe that dreams happen to everyone with an equivalent amount of sleep. Therefore, if individuals feel they are not dreaming or they have a dream overnight, it is because they are losing their dream memories. This "erasing memory" can be found in the aspect of the dream state when one awakes by properly switching from REM sleep to delta sleep to waking.

If a person wakes up from a REM sleep (for example in a waking clock), they are likely to experience the dream from that REM period (though all dreams are unlikely to be remembered because they occur during REM periods, which disturbed during periods of delta sleep causing memories to fade from past dreams.) The Homo sapiens have a real dream come true, but many believe that other kinds of animals can dream as well. Animals are likely to undergo REM sleep, but it is difficult to determine their individual experience.

The armadillo has the longest period of REM sleep. It seems that only mammals, or most often, dream in nature, which may be related to their sleep characteristics.
