It's a cool Friday morning. I woke up early upon hearing the "puto" guy announcing his puto maya. When I went out, he was gone already but I waited for a few minutes, prepared exact amount of money just in case he will come around again. I was right, I heard his voice again so I put on my mask and went out of our gate. I saw him at the far end corner of the road so I called and signaled him to come. Finally, I was able to buy "puto maya". This is made of steamed glutinous rice in coconut milk with ginger, a pinch of salt and little sugar added. It is best eaten with hot chocolate drink especially freshly made sekwate. Since I still have tableya stocks , I happily made my sekwate to enjoy the full goodness flavor of "puto maya and sekwate" for breakfast. Come let's eat my dear friends. I seldom eat puto maya and sekwate so I hope that you will bear my excitement in eating this delicacy. Have a pleasant abundant day ahead. The following photos showed the puto maya and sekwate (hot chocolate) in a little cup. I usually eat my puto maya as shown in the second photo submerged in sekwate with a little sugar sprinkled to sweeten it a bit.
