I attended another night of novena prayers for our departed Uncle. Tonight is the 6th day. Many relatives were present. We still observed proper protocols for our own safety like wearing mask, social distancing and keeping our hands clean. Upon going home, I passed by their grotto with Mama Mary fully lighted. I said a short prayer and thanked Mama Mary for watching over us and showering us with all her love. I took a shot of this beautiful grotto to share with you. After our prayers, it's customary to offer snacks. We had fried banana, puto maya (a sticky rice cake made with steamed glutenous rice cooked in sweetened coconut milk), torta bread and hot chocolate drink (sikwati). We did not consume the food served so each one of us brought home some extra food because our Auntie can't finish all of it. I'm glad to be present each and everyday of the novena prayers. Our last day of prayers is on Sunday .
