"PENTECOST" Rise and shine on this bright sunny morning. Today we are celebrating Pentecost Sunday in commemoration when the Holy Spirit descended to His apostles and followers. "Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim." -Acts2:3-4 It is very special event for Christians because it marks the birth of the church and the start of apostles' mission to spread God's word. Pentecost Sunday is very special to me personally because it is on Pentecost Sunday in 1984 when my late husband and I had our wedding at UP Chapel in Dilliman, QC. Our wedding day was fixed but Pentecost Sunday celebration moves every year. It is the 50th day after Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus on Easter Sunday.
