Good afternoon noisemates. I hope everyone had eaten lunch already. For our lunch I prepared beef steak Filipino and crab & corn soup. I also marinated a 100 grams of vegie meat to be added to my beef as an extender. However I noticed that the simmered beef was still tough when it was almost 12 noon, so I hurriedly cooked the marinated vegie meat separately like how I cook my beef steak and added lots of onions. Luckily it was done in time for lunch because vegie meat is soft and can be cooked faster. Now my vegie meat steak is ready. (The real beef steak will be served for dinner because I had to continue cooking it until it softens. 😊) Have you tried cooking vegie meat? The first time I cooked vegie meat was during lockdown. I was so amazed because, it really looks like real meat! It has the grains of the meat. You just cook it like any meat recipe. I usually cook it as steak , barbeque or sometimes I add it to my sauteed vegetables or pancit. I find vegie meat cheaper and easier and faster to cook plus it has no cholesterol.
