Day to day life on a ranch, character is forged from a very young age.

The story of my life begins at the end of this road, it is like this, everyone who wants to get to the ranch has to go through this beautiful journey, the first thing people see when they arrive at the farm, is that beautiful araguaney tree, tree that was not planted, nor transplanted, the truth is that he was born there, tree as araguaney can give a beautiful view accompanied by a well-kept paddock can give a beautiful view. I have a very ingrained feeling with this tree, not only for being araguaney, this tree is about the same age as I am *-*, yes it is, it is quite old haha that does not mean that I am old.

For a tree it does. In the ranch they know this tree as "el que bien recibe", this phrase gives mention to the beauty of this tree and everyone who arrives has to do with it.

In the family it is customary from a very young age to the barons and girls that we have work that must be done and that every reward must be earned, the photo I show you is a cousin, he is only 12 years old and has been working since he was 10 years old, although he is very young, he knows well the work he has been entrusted with and does it to perfection, his job every morning is to collect the cattle that will then be sorted, do not think it is easy work, sometimes the cattle are very watered in the paddock and it takes a little more time than usual.

In addition, you must leave very early at approximately 4 am and these young "llaneros" must be looking for their horses, then go to look for the cattle and pick them up before 6 am. This is the beginning of the milking work. Many times the cows are a little easier to pick up because of habit, but other times it is late because of a cow with bad habits.

Milking is a job that I like, especially because you have a lot of contact with the cows, everything that is with animals I like but, when it comes to calving cows you must be much more careful than the account, especially because although the cow is tame, for her calf can do anything, if her calf feels threatened she will call her mother and this is not always good, besides you must have good knowledge on how to understand the cattle, because many times the cattle does not give the necessary milk because the calf has drunk it all, other times the inexperienced person leaves the calf without milk, so you must have a balance, as in everything.

In this photo I capture a "llanero", this is not a family, just a worker who has years, who manages to perfection this art of milking and has a high experience with milking animals, from him I have learned a few tricks. I had not really heard from anyone else. On the other hand, this cow is called "lucerito" a very noble animal, this cow already has around 7 calvings, I believe that she is in one of her last milking days, besides that by her large number of calvings, it indicates that this cow no longer has the same productivity as in previous calvings. In other words. Probably after having this calf, "lucerito" will go to the slaughterhouse :( it seems sad, but the reality is one, when it comes to cattle, the farmer must take care of what he generates and when it is no longer good to have it.

It is not easy, having to get rid of an animal that has given so much for so many years. But the reality is one.

I want to introduce these beautiful animals, as is the vaquiro, the vaquiro is not the same as the wild boar and in many cases people have to confuse, although if you know how is a vaquiro will have no problem to recognize when it is not, one of their differences are their teeth, the wild boar has large tusks that come out of his mouth, while the vaquiro, only has small teeth designed to eat seeds and other tree roots, a quality of the vaquiro is; one quality of the vaquiro is that it makes a sound with its teeth to scare away predators or any threat, another difference is that the vaquiro has only small teeth designed to eat seeds and other tree roots.

Difference is; the size, the wild boar is by far bigger and stockier, while the vaquiro is much smaller.

These photographed cowbirds have been raised by a lady named Maria, they were found in the bush with their dead mother, a worker noticed that the animal was dead and when he found them there were their young, perhaps if he left them, they would end up dying, so he did well not to let them die. Although they have been raised in the house, they do not allow themselves to be approached by anyone except Maria. I guess because she is the one who provides food for them.

They tend to always walk together, they do not like to be alone, even if they are their sisters, the male will try to extend the breed, that is to say, to get pregnant, let's hope that it happens.

Vaquiros are very fearful animals, they are aware of their surroundings and if they feel threatened, it is better for the one who is close to them to get out of their way. Any animal should be respected no matter how it is, it is a living being just like us. To be able to take care of animals is everyone's job, no matter how difficult it may seem. They will always be our best companions.

These little piglets have not been easy to raise since the mother of these pigs gave birth with great difficulty due to an infection. Since then the mother has been administered antibiotics and this has caused her to not be able to give enough milk to her little ones. It is incredible to see that even animals have difficulties, as strange as it may seem.

Well guys, so much for our trip today. May God allow us to have another moment to share my life experiences with you. See you next time. :*

Siempre he tenido amor por los llanos venezolanos. Sera porque me crie desde muy pequeña, pero sobre todo por la humildad y la sencillez con la que las personas se crían.
