The Philippines is a rich country. The proof of this is the foreign interest in us. Many countries try to claim our land because they are aware of the unique resources it possesses. This country is blessed with rich lands and waters and this is probably because it's an archipelago. But if the Philippines is truly rich, why does it not flourish and still fall into poverty?
Yes, our country is rich but its people are poor. Why? Because of the people who are greedy for power and the people who are fake leaders claiming that they want to serve the Philippines. This is also because of false politicians who are only politically active but do not truly serve the people for their sake. They put their interests first ang neglecting the sake of the majority. The Philippines is not thriving because of the interest in political and economic power of the people who want to lead the country. This country will only flourish if these atrocities are rectified and the Filipino people can choose the true leaders who only seeks to lift the country to its happy future.
As a Filipino citizen, I still hope that this country's policies will change. I still hope I can take the time to watch this country prosper like how its neighboring country grows. I believe that change can only be achieved by working together. As Filipinos, we must unite and work together to achieve and see the true wealth that our country possesses.
I totally agree. Philippines is a rich country indeed with it's resources. It just need to be used appropriately for the benefit of it's people.
