"The soul, fortunately, has an interpreter - often an unconscious but still a faithful interpreter - in the eye."
― Charlotte Brontë
We normally perceive that eyes are the windows to the soul. Though, what do we particularly see when we look into the eyes of someone?
Our eyes are more precious as gems. It does give loads of messages regarding the emotional state of someone who you look at in his eyes.
It is crucial to take care of our eyesight to continue attaching with the world and make immediate evaluations of whatever circumstance occurs along our way. We tend to take an eye for granted, yet many of us will do all in our capability to have our vision back to normal when sight problems happen.
There are so many things that our eyes signify. When we are worried or feeling blue, we furrow our eyebrows, making our eyes seem smaller.
On the other side, when we are cheerful, our eyes shimmer like bright stars. The reason is that we raise our eyebrows when we feel well and happy. This makes our eyes seem brighter and more significant.
Just a bit of information, our eyes have an intricate composition that has several components. The sclera, or whites of the eye, serves to have the eye dark inside and give the "casing of the eye." Next to the sclera is the cornea, which is to guards the eye.
Talking about its significance, it enables us to obtain insight into the world. Without our sense of sight, our capability to comprehend what our surroundings are is limited. With this, we can say that our eyes are a priceless gift given to us by God. It is also a grace that allows us to enjoy the beauty of the place we are living in.
Our eyes are deemed to be the most delicate organ in our body. They, too, require proper care. It is really timely. We should be aware that many things are taking a vital toll on our eyes' overall health and well-being.
To go a little bit further, it is undeniable that some of us take our phone upon waking up in the morning - a habit I also do sometimes. Some might be even using it for more or less ten hours a day.
With this, we can say that gadgets, especially our phones, are tempting us to use them. It is not impossible, particularly now that many of us are just lingering inside our house due to the present situation we are currently in.
Though our phones are very important and that we can use them in the event of an emergency, in the event where students need to perform a task such as requirements, in the event we want to play games when we are bored, among others, everyone should still perceive that there are also drawbacks of using a phone for a comparatively long time.
All of us do not want our eyes to get blurry. So, do the right thing. Stop or lessen doing those things that aren't good to our eyes and spend more time on the things that make us more productive.
The best thing to do is guard it against the radiation coming and reflected from our phones. We can use eyeglasses specially made to protect our eyes from harmful lights and rays or, better yet, set a plan or schedule that can benefit us to become more disciplined and productive.
Some of us, most of the time, spend much time just using gadgets. So, if you feel that your eyes are a bit tired, let them rest for a moment and look at the surroundings, especially on the green leaves.
So, let us be more reasonable about life while never giving up our vision and our dream. Do not abuse our eyes because, aside from their various importance, they are the windows to the soul.
