An unusual story about “lost” bitcoins, a policeman caught a fraudster who stole 50 million euros in BTC, he got a prison sentence for it. But he is unwilling to give investigators the password to his fortune.

He was sentenced to more than two years in prison for illegally earning cryptocurrencies. This "resourceful" German installs BTC mining software on other people's computers and thus uses their resources for his own enrichment without authorization. His method of enrichment was discovered more than a year ago, and investigators then confiscated an encrypted wallet from him, on which the fraudster saved his fortune. However, the detainee did not give them a password to access the seized money.

His wallet is reportedly hiding an estimated 50m euros. The convict mined them in the manner described before the price of bitcoin began to rise. Today, German police would receive a hefty sum, but investigators cannot unlock the encrypted wallet. More luck the second time for the police and for the illegal "miner".
