The mountain in question is the physical mountain, a geographical and physical entity present in terms of terrestrial relief that brings a differentiated environment in terms of climate and visualization of horizons. Therefore, in this small article, the mountain is something that should not be taken as something metaphorical, but something real and present in geographic terms.
Already being on a mountain and having a view from a mountain is what must be taken by other approaches, perhaps less physical and more focused on what we might even call metaphysical. And historical elements show that important events for a large portion of humanity happened from a higher geographical relief.
I am not going to detail some of the various historical events recorded, even extraordinary ones, that occurred from a higher relief, but focus on a possible explanation or reflection on why being in a mountain environment brings us other approaches in terms of experiences visual and emotional.
Perhaps the explanation lies in the fact that less urban places where mountains are usually found are more apt to make us see another reality besides the rush of everyday life that a more urban space provides, and the maxim that in more rural places the another rhythm, or that time passes differently has its raison d'ĂȘtre.
The incredible thing is that this view from a mountain necessarily brings new horizons to be seen literally, even because being on a higher relief in geographical terms always brings this ability to observe distant horizons bordered by mountains or not.
So, to be on a mountain is to be in a place where it is possible to see more horizons because it is in a higher natural relief, when we are faced with new horizons literally, and that, in itself, would be a great advantage. to be in a place where horizons expand literally.
But there is the question that for many that larger horizon and extraordinary events that happened in or from the same have more to do with a symbolism that higher geographical reliefs provide, a different feeling due to a different prism.
Regardless of being just a symbolism or really a higher elevation in geographic terms having this differential in terms of being a place where there is a different perception, or that extraordinary events happen in these environments, it is always good to remember that in survival manuals , written or not, has the maxim that once lost in a forest, or desert, or anywhere, one of the first things you have to do is to climb on something higher to try to find a way out or find your way back .
So, whenever possible, it is good to look for these higher regions in geographic terms, even if only at least once a year, to try to understand this expansion of physical and mental, and perhaps even spiritual, horizons.
