Sincerity, a price to pay.
Many people think of sincerity and think of ease, that honesty that won’t cost you. Yeah, sometimes when you are sincere, people would take you for granted but some other time, you would find out that it’s all worth it.
People that love being sincere most times have a pure conscious, they like to say the truth always. Society today doesn’t uphold values as it used to. Things that should be abhored today are upheld. When you are sincere in the way you do things, it would appear to others as though you are a foolish person and you are unwise. You may sometimes believe them and sometimes not but in the end, you would have to decide whether to continue with your honesty based on your personal reasons and conviction or go along with the crowd as a result of what they say and subconsciously believe.
In these days, one as to stand by what he believes and not flow with the crowd because the crowd do not always go the right way since they are moved by mere senses. Stand by what you believe, being sincere is not a crime, you don’t have to tell a lie to make others believe you or believe in you.
I must tell you the truth, something that you must acknowledge to yourself, being truthful will not always turn out to be beautiful. You may not be treated like those who live by deceit, you may suffer for telling the truth at times but it’s better than living with a guilty conscience. You do not know what lies ahead of you, one truth told could save you a lot of troubles. If you are the type who lies a lot, take a step of change and try to be truthful most times.
