Due for another re-launch in the not-too-distant future, the Lightning GT has been built by a boutique car company which produced a petrol version all the way back in 2008.
$300,000 dollars is a lot for an electric car, especially one that is still in production however the company do claim it has two 22kWh Lithium-Titanate battery pack strings that can recharge in ten minutes from a dedicated 32amp socket.
This car features its own on-board charger that can charge the car in five hours with Lightning currently in talks with a major continental partner whose technology will help bring the car to production.
The Lightning features a peak power output capability of 300 kW with 4000 Nm of torque available at the wheels and accelerates to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds.
Top speeds of up to 185 mph can be achieved thanks to its all-carbon fibre body while the chassis is made from a honeycomb aluminium structure.

Moving up in price with the Genovation GXE, you willl need a considerable amount of cash for this car as it comes in at three quaters of a million dollars.
Thats pretty insane for a car that goes 205.6mph and is basically the electric copy of a Corvette Z06 C6.
Featuring two electric motors, with 250kW each at their disposal, the GXE has the equivalent of 800 bhp.
When it comes to range, the car is slightly lacking at 130 miles and you do need to make considerable allowances for finding a charge point when running low on battery.

With an insane 1,900 HP coming from its electric motors, 0-62 mph comes in less than 2 seconds and the car can hit a top speed of 218 mph.
A 120 kWh battery pack gives it a range of 311 miles on a single charge and the car comes with a price tag of $2.6 million dollars.
Once again, the Pininfarina Battista is only being produced for 150 customers meaning that it will not only increase in price, but also, the company have announced they will be making better electric cars in the future.
1 – Aspark Owl
The creme de la creme of our list, comes with a $3.6 Million price tag and is produced by Osaka, Japan-based carmaker Aspark.
