What’s possible?
We are in the midst of a world full of many voices. Some constructive and some destructive. What we really pay attention to matters as they can add to our minds or take something valuable away from it.
What’s possible? The word possible describes that which is able but not certain to happen, that which is capable of being done or achieved. This answers the question of some as regards the word possible, but not well enough. What we consider possible depends on our viewpoint, and our viewpoint has it’s many influencing factors.
What we may consider impossible from the view of one person may be considered possible from the viewpoint of another. When I say viewpoint, I simply mean, how we look at things. How do you see things? When faced with challenges how do you confront them? Do you make conclusions on your future saying "it's finished", or do you say to yourself, ‘this is just another challenge which I will overcome'?
How we see things that come our way matters a lot. Some people only see the difficulties that a circumstance bring while some others see the opportunities that follow the circumstance. Seeing the opportunities in a problem doesn’t mean that the difficulties in that problem don’t exist, it only shows how you have chosen to look above the problem and see the opportunities that lie beyond it. You see, our decisions can affect our viewing point.
Another thing that influences our point of view is our mindset. We often carry the mindset of other people for too long. Such mindsets are often developed based on life experiences. The images that we see with our eyes are interpreted in our minds, our brain checks if that image is consistent with an older memory and interprets to our minds based on it’s judgement. This means that we interpret things based on references, reference to an older memory.
What you consider possible or impossible all depends on the perspective from which you look at things. If a person’s viewpoint is affected by his decisions and his mindset, then, we should work on our will power, so we will make a decision to change our mindset. We should not just accept the mindset which consists of beliefs, do's and don’ts and so on, that are passed down to us by others but instead we should make a choice to seek out the truth so that we can adopt a good mindset which will in turn help identify what is possible among many impossibilities because there many things that are possible but if misinterpreted, could be viewed as being impossible. There's a lot you can do if you look at life from a good angle.
This enlightens us to work on ourselves the more for a better society, so we don't crash our dreams premature
