Before starting with our tour we must know that Venezuela is one of the most diverse countries in the region with the most diverse tourism with paradisiacal places in Latin America, starting with its wide variety of beaches and rivers, accompanied with one of the best tropical climates and its excellent friendly and loving people. On the other hand, Venezuela has a great variety of places where you can spend a completely different day out of stress and worries. If you have not yet traveled to Venezuela, it is time to take your bags and take a tour of this beautiful country, without further ado, let's start this wonderful journey.

1. Angel Falls (Bolivar)

Considered a symbol of tourism in Venezuela: world heritage of humanity, Guinness record for the highest waterfall in the world. With a height of 979 meters, and 807 meters of uninterrupted fall, this waterfall is generated from the Auyantepuy river and its name means in Pemón "jump of the deepest place", this great destination located within the Canaima National Park is one of the places in Venezuela that served as inspiration for numerous books and movies such as "UP".

Located in the middle of the jungle, the water jets of Angel Falls fall from the top of Auyantepui, one of the number of tepuis in Canaima National Park. Something that makes this place even more incredible? The recent discovery (2013) of the world's largest quartzite cave, deep in one of the tepui's crevices.

Although this waterfall is one of the country's major tourist attractions, it is difficult to visit, since the trip to the falls is not easy. As the area where it is located is surrounded by forest, the only way to get there is by plane from the capital of the country or from Ciudad Bolivar, to reach a Canaima camp.

2. Roraima (Guayana City)

Besides Canaima National Park, the second jungle destination on this list is Roraima, located in the state of Bolivar, near the Brazilian border. Backpacker destination par excellence, the Roraima is a geological formation of 2810 meters high, being the dream of most of those who love to travel with a backpack on their shoulder.

Reaching the top of the Roraima tepui is an enriching and unforgettable experience. And every day there are more and more people who want to join this adventure, but for this they must have the desire and strength to leave comfort aside and even feel the adrenaline as if you were living the last day of your life. So prepare yourself mentally and physically and understand that you are going out of your comfort zone.

3. Médanos de Coro

The sand hills in the Médanos de Coro National Park are a spectacular sight, mainly because they are located in what is basically tropical country. The dunes are about 40 meters high, their beautiful orange and yellow tone characterizes it from other similar places.

The strong winds make this place change its shape constantly. The site is quite dry, so there is limited vegetation and wildlife. The dunes are a popular area to go aboard the hot sand, but you can also explore the whole place on rented camels.

4. Margarita Island

Margarita Island, known as the largest island off the northeast coast of Venezuela, is an excellent place for beachcombing. It also enjoys 50 beaches scattered along the coast, dynamic activities include windsurfing and kitesurfing, mainly at El Yaque beach.

Margarita Island is a favorite place for all Venezuelans, due to the duty-free shopping at the port. There are also several large cities, including La Asunción and the capital of the state of Nueva Esparta.

5. Merida Cable Car

Riding the spectacular Mérida cable car is something that everyone in Venezuela simply wants to do. It is considered the longest and highest cable car in the world. The usual route of the cable car is almost 12 km long and rises more than 4,700 meters above the air. The cable car stops along the way, so that visitors can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, but they can also get out and do some trekking. The most favorable months to visit are from December to February since it is the best time to undertake the trip because there is no fog. On the other hand, the route is 12.5 kilometers long and has four sections:

  • Barinitas (1,577 masl) (this is the base).

  • La Montaña (2,436 masl)

  • La Aguada (3,452 masl)

  • Loma Redonda (4,045 masl)

  • Pico Espejo (4.765 masl)

You should know that the enjoyment of the stations is descending, that is to say, first you enjoy the last stop PICO ESPEJO, and from there you enjoy the next station descending in order.

Conclusion.

The tourist demand has increased notably, because besides being a beautiful country and full of different landscapes, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Venezuelans to travel abroad, due to the problems for the purchase and acquisition of dollars, which has led many Venezuelan citizens to travel within the country.

Likewise, the tourist product is increasing in certain privileged tourist areas of the country due to its proximity to the coast or mountains, some roads have been improved, the creation of hotels, tourist parks, are factors that allow that day after day, both the foreigner and the Venezuelan feel attracted to know Venezuela.
