Haven't you tried "sweet potatoes" yet? It's time for a change. The yam is delicious. It's similar to potatoes, but still a little different. Take a closer look, you can see it on the shelves of the supermarkets you're used to. And when you find it, make healthy chips.
Ingredients:
Medium sized yams - 1-2 pcs.
Fresh or dried rosemary
Sea salt
Grease oil (ideally spray)
Wash the yams. You can do it with a sponge with hard bristles or an iron sponge.
Slice as thinly as possible. There are special grater-mandolin or something else. Or by hand, with a sharp knife.
Put a sheet of parchment on a baking tray.
Turn on the oven to 140 °C. While the oven is heating, stir the yam slices with a little oil. There should be a little oil, so that there is no excess moisture.
Spread the slices out in a single layer on parchment. Sprinkle salt and rosemary on top. If rosemary is dry, just sprinkle. If fresh, throw in a few leaves.
We put a baking tray in the oven and keep it there for 20-30 minutes.
Do not close the door of the baking pan up to the end, for the moisture to come out.
After 20-30 minutes turn it over and put it back to dry. Then we put it back in the oven. The time will vary depending on the thickness of the slices 10-20 minutes.
Then we check and see. If the chips darken quickly but are still soft, turn the temperature down.
When ready, pull out and store in a dry place.
