Japan is not only an amazing, but also a very peculiar country. It is as if people live in another world, which is sometimes completely incomprehensible to the rest of humanity. There is even a separate village, where only foxes live. But statistics have shown that it is the peculiarity of everyday life and interesting traditions that make the Japanese so happy, purposeful and cheerful people.

Yes, these people are big workaholics. They may stay on duty until late at night. But the Japanese have a mandatory rule - sleep at work. This is a special practice, which is called anemuri and is practiced not only at work, but also in public transport and public places. It is strictly forbidden in other countries, and you can even lose your job for sleeping at work.

This version of sleep is encouraged in Japan, as it is an indicator that a person is very hardworking, works hard and sleeps little. In offices, there is even a special room with sunbeds, where you can lie down and relax in the midst of the working day. According to the Japanese, this increases the productivity of employees.

If you look closely, walking around this country, especially in big cities, you will notice a huge number of vending machines. And these are not just devices with coffee, snacks or drinks. Here you can see such devices selling fruits and vegetables, various products, eggs, milk and even clothes.

They stand everywhere and a few pieces at a time. It is difficult to understand why there are so many of these devices at once. But there is a version that the Japanese are delayed at work and return home late, so instead of going to the store you can just buy something in the machine, in addition, many stores can be closed at a late hour. There is also such an option as the Japanese people's dislike of huge markets filled with people. Therefore, such introverts, and there are many of them in Japan, prefer to store in the machines.

Café for the lonely and the fight of infants

Such cafes are common in this country because there are really many single people living here. And so that they do not feel completely sad when eating in a restaurant, they are planted with soft toys, mainly large mumi-trolls. Such establishments are called Moomin-cafe. The atmosphere here is made in Tuve Jansson's style - Finnish writer, who invented these characters. The cafe even offers Finnish dishes and serves them in the form of fairytale characters. The bakery is made only from Finnish flour. The facilities are very popular, and many people want to sit in the company of toys.

The struggle of crying babies, naki sumo, is a long tradition. It is a festival during which children are made to cry, and wins the one who cries earlier and louder. To upset children, adult Sumoists squeeze their faces and make all sorts of sounds, sometimes even putting on masks. The roots of such a festival go far back to Japanese history. It turns out that the Japanese have long believed that the crying of babies scares away evil spirits, and the louder a child cries, the more power the gods have endowed him with, which means he will grow up healthy and strong.
