A striking example of the existence of alien life for a long time was considered the famous Washington Carousel, when hundreds of people personally observed a strange glow around the White House.

UFO attack

The event took place in 1952 and lasted for 11 days from 11 to 29 July. Throughout this time, Washingtoners and city visitors have seen several UFOs move in the sky over different parts of the city, including the White House. The authorities decided to involve the air force, the president himself, and then Harry Truman was in charge, watching and giving orders. To date, this event remains the most massive UFO surveillance in history.

At midnight on July 11, a strange glow in the sky fell under the radar of the airport. 7 objects were located near the south-western part of Washington. Movement did not look like ordinary planes, the glow from the objects was bright orange. The event became the main event in the country and not only; all newspapers wrote about it.

The carousel began to be studied and investigated, the special services, CIA and Air Force, astrophysicists and Albert Einstein himself were involved. According to the skeptics, this is not a UFO, but an optical illusion, which occurred because of the temperature inversion. But not many people listened to them, too all were impressed with the spectacle.

Einstein believed that if it is aliens, it is not worth touching and disturbing them. After all, if they are able to move at such a high speed, and the devices recorded a speed of 17 000 km / h, they probably have a powerful weapon.

One of the main versions

The year 1952 went down in history as the year of the UFO, but at the same time it was not easy in another sense. It was during this period that the confrontation between the U.S. and the USSR was growing. And this fact could not but take into account. The U.S. military even said that they were not aliens, but Soviet nuclear ballistic missiles.

Gradually, the hype around the Washington merry-go-round increased so much that citizens simply piled up the White House with letters asking for details and expressing their fears. As a result, the authorities decided to completely cover up everything they had learned about the strange incident. But this caused even more panic.

Very strange was the disappearance of Edward Ruppelt, an Air Force officer assigned to lead a project to study UFOs over Washington. Ruppelt was an ardent supporter of extraterrestrial civilizations. He began writing a book-report of the investigation, but suddenly changed his mind and gave interviews in which he said that UFOs did not exist and all this is fiction, and the Washington carousel is nothing but Soviet machines. At the same time, many noticed the officer's strange behavior, as if he had memorized his speech. Gradually, Ruppel stopped communicating with his colleagues and died at 34 from a heart attack. His book was classified and the project was closed. And only in the 80s he managed to see this information in the public domain. It turned out that the documents have data that the Washington carousel - an imitation of a UFO and a fake, the purpose was to distract people from the problems, the Korean War and at the same time to raise the rating of the current president.
