Fireworks are an indispensable part of a holiday like New Year's Eve. Bright and loud fireworks of all different hues impress children and adults alike. Fireworks came to us from Asia, where the arrival of the New Year was first celebrated with spectacular fireworks. Every year, this spectacular trend develops and never ceases to amaze. We have already written about how fireworks are created. Now it's time to tell about several fireworks that impressed the whole world and went down in history.
Japan
In October 2014, in Konosu on Honshu Island, people and guests were very impressed by the amazing fireworks display. Each of the many salvos was fantastic, the organizers of such a spectacle were record-breakers. This fireworks display was also the heaviest ever launched on our planet, weighing 460 kg. The size of each of the lights was 120 cm in diameter.
During the demonstration, a representative of the famous Guinness Book of World Records was present on the island and documented all the data. So the fireworks display in Japan turned out to be a record breaker.
Kuwait
Not only was one of the world's most spectacular fireworks launched here in 2012, it was also the most expensive. You don't even have to ask if the fireworks made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. On November 10, this country celebrates Constitution Day, the Emir of Kuwait paid $15 million for the fireworks display. In one hour, 77,282 fireworks were launched into the sky, an all-time world record. For safety, all the fireworks were launched over the water, tens of thousands of people came to see it, people came especially from other countries. It is worth saying that not all residents of the states approved such a show, there were dissatisfied with the fact that the emir spent such a large amount on fireworks, which could have been spent on something more useful. Nevertheless, this display of fireworks was unforgettable.
Arab Emirates
In this country, everything is done in a big way and, of course, it would be surprising if one of the most spectacular fireworks shows did not happen here. In 2014, the fireworks also became a record-breaker in history, as it was the largest and longest in the world and broke the record of the Kuwaiti show described above. The fireworks, weighing a total of 1 ton and 0.5 in diameter, were made in the United States and transported by water to the Arab Emirates. The fireworks were loaded into a cannon that was 7 meters long and weighed 7 tons. During the launch the fireworks went up to a height of 670 m and only then exploded. The New Year's Eve show lasted 6 minutes, the volleys were produced from 400 points, along the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah.
A total of 400,000 fireworks were set off at a rate of over 1,000 volleys per second. All this was designed to impress tourists and attract holidaymakers to celebrate the New Year in Dubai. And it worked perfectly, a lot of foreigners came to the city. All hotel rooms with windows overlooking the coast were booked in early autumn. The public was very happy with the fireworks.
