For the popular Content Management System (CMS) Wordpress has a new plugin that allows you to put a time stamp in the block of the Etherium for published articles and notes.
The plugin, developed by the Dutch startup WordProof, should provide a new degree of authorship protection and increase transparency in content creation. It will protect intellectual property as well as track the path and change of content. At the same time, the plugin installation does not require any special knowledge about distributed registry technology.
According to the startup site, the time stamp is a "unique and universal print", also known as a hash, for each article, page and other content. If the content changes in any way, the hash will also change, so the authors can track the changes. Each fingerprint contains the date and time of publication of the post, so users can prove that they published the content at a certain time.
I would like to note that according to W3Techs, Wordpress is installed on 39% of all websites and has a 63% share in the CMS market. Earlier WordProof startup received a grant of 1 million euros from the European Commission for winning the Blockchain for Public Benefit program. The startup has beaten 175 other teams from Europe.
