Coca-Cola is a carbonated beverage that has been popular for many years all over the world. And how many ways to use this sweet liquid have been invented - they clean limescale and marinate meat. And what if you try to use the carbon dioxide, which is rich in cola?

Inflate the wheel of a bicycle.

That sounds incredible, of course. How can you use baking soda to inflate a bicycle wheel? It turns out you can. And a team of famous bloggers proved it, shooting the entire process on video, which turned out to be very interesting and informative.

The guys assembled a special device that helped carbon dioxide get into the bicycle tire. After all, simply attaching a hose from the aquarium filter that the guys used proved impossible. They replaced the check valve with a more reliable one and increased the length of the hose for convenience. To make everything work, they used a hose from a pump with a wheel nozzle on one end and connected the other end to an aquarium tube.

When the construction was ready, the guys got ready for the routine and long work and started pumping the wheel - shaking a Coke bottle to provoke an increased release of carbon dioxide. The gas went down the tube and into the wheel. Many bottles of the drink were prepared, but only one was needed! Moreover, the pressure in the wheel showed a level of 1 atmosphere and the bike could safely be used.

How to inflate a car wheel

In order to inflate the wheel from the car, the bloggers used a similar homemade device. When the gas from one bottle was used, the guys measured the pressure in the tire, it turned out that the pressure level was zero. The guys didn't stop and continued working, taking turns changing when they got tired.

This time it took more bottles. It took the guys two hours to "shake out" the gas from eight bottles.

A car wheel can be fully used for its intended purpose when the pressure level is at least 1-1.5 atmospheres. When the guys pumped carbon dioxide out of ten bottles, the process stopped. The thing is that the gas simply refused to leave the container and still remained in the Coke, no matter how much the bloggers shook it. At this point, it was decided to check the number of atmospheres in the wheel, using a specialized device. Imagine the surprise of the team when the device showed a good value of 1.3 atmospheres.

As it turned out, Coca-Cola is not only tasty drink, but can be useful in many areas of life. This experiment is a vivid example of that. However, such a method can be used in really emergency cases, but also when there is an extra 10 bottles of cola on hand. And only in order to get to a tire fitting shop.
