After having seen a ton of other dramas, but here I cannot say enough how beautifully this drama is able to capture emotion. I found myself grinning like a child in one moment and have my heart aching in the next. This is only the second episode! Anyways, I will stop rambling. If you are wondering whether or not to give it a try, please do. You will not regret it!
Though the second episode strongly focused on Moon Kang-tae’s backstory, the third delved much more into Ko Moon-young’s. In doing so, the setting becomes much more dark and gothic. There is a noticeable growth of tension between the two leads; one relentlessly pushes forward, the other steadily draws back. I enjoyed seeing Kwak Dong Yeon’s cameo as patient Kwon Ki Do. This drama continues to reel me in and keep me entertained! 4TH EP: Holy cow. That episode was a major blow to the feels; it’s probably my favorite yet. I don’t even know where to start. There is so much emotion coming from all directions. This episode is the first we start to see the real in the stony-faced, super focused Moon Kang-tae. It is also what I suspect to be the first crack in the obsessive ice princess’ creepy and distanced demeanor. I have so many words right now, but that will be all for today. It’s so fantastic that don’t know if I can wait until next Saturday! It still remains was a definite 5/5 in my book. 5TH EP: Each episode, there is always one theme that sticks in my head the longest. In the fifth, it was the first time I saw past Nam Ju-ri’s innocent persona. “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” reveals the flaws of each character in the most subtly breathtaking way. Their weaknesses aren’t sugarcoated, but they don’t make me hate the character. It simply reminds me of their humanity. The drama does not discriminate; no character is left out from this process. In fact, it’s hard to draw the line between who are the protagonists and antagonists. They are just human. There is something so beautiful about that. Every episode I watch, the more I fall in love with this story. Though it has a depth to it that may often be missed, it is still filled with wit and humor. All that said, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” has got to be one of my favorite dramas yet! I haven't watched them all yet..
Have you watch the latest episode? Episode 8, gosh my heart, he smiles 😍 'coz it's been 5 years when I last saw Kim Soo Hyun on KDrama.
