3180 seconds
3180 seconds You said "hey" To the question I asked 2 hours ago You probably just saw it You're probably just tired You're somewhere I'm not And 5 km is a long distance But can you make it beside me? Speed up, I'm 1000 seconds away Why you say? I don't really know I just want to see you randomly Maybe I want you to see me in my nice dress Or maybe I want to share 500 slow and aimless steps Maybe I just wanted a few seconds with you And hear a few words from you Till we reach the parting road You can't make it? That's okay Guess tonight's gonna have Only a pair of footprints again It's been like that for the 100 miles I walked It's been like that since the time I noticed I wanted a certain pair of footprints beside mine Should I stop? I'm really not fine... I wish I've told you We don't need fancy dinners We don't have to spend 60 minutes A small walk is more than enough Would you have come then? 300 seconds I'm on the last ride Are you gonna make it Do you have a surprise? I forgot you were not a romantic Or maybe I was the only one feeling lonely 0 seconds; 9 pm Time's up, but I continued hoping by VannQwerty h.s.t.

2 hours ago is7200 seconds. I wonder what is 3180 seconds stand for? I like this poem but maybe you can write a little bit more of what inspire you to write this sonit is easier for the readers to catch up next time. Maybe @marblely @wakeupkitty @ozzyy @charlotte @botefarm would like to read this too.
It's obviously love-inclined and full of sadness over unreciprocated love, but I'm not sure what the timing is all about.
Me too. The timing confuse me.
Well the poem is indeed about sadness of your love not being reciprocated but you continue to wait. If you do the math 3180 is 53minutes (and the distance between them is makes their time to be together shorter, 1000s = 16.667minutes) and there's a line in the poem that they don't have to be together for 60mins I guess that's it even not exact 1 hr or even just a few minutes is enough for the persona in the poem.
Thanks for reading and for your analogy! And I may have written it somehow confusing and made the feeling "off" because of it. "3180 seconds" refers to the time before 9:00pm(as she is counting down to 9pm before leaving for the last ride) , so at that time, it's around 8:07pm. And when she said "to the text I sent 2 hrs ago", the message was sent at 6:07 pm and was only replied at 8:07pm. I hope this clears everything up. I'll write something better next time. :)
Oh i see, i think you should've include the time either 8:07 pm or 6:07 to make it more clear😁 well it was a great poem as a whole❤
Don't worry. This one is good. The other poet and reader can understand it. That is why I brought them here.
You surely understand the poem. I am glad I brought you here.
I have no idea what is meant. 5 km is a long distance (plus 1 hour walking) "Speed up just 1000 seconds" 🤔 It feels like a kind of count down but the logic?
Hi, thanks for reading "3180 seconds". The 5 km refers to the distance between them as she said "you're somewhere I'm not". As for the 1 hr, I guess you meant when she said "we don't have to spend 60 mins. "? That's her suggesting that they don't have to spend that much time together and just a few minutes is just fine for her. "Speed up, I'm 1000 seconds away", refers to the time it would take to reach her if he chose to rush to her side. I'll write a less confusing work next time :)
This is more understandable but it actually made your poem beautiful though as @wakeupkitty said, I too cannot understand the logic. Thank you for explaining.
It is interesting to read this distance in relative to time. Something I have not read before. I like this poem. There is a sense of emotion, distance and time, all wrapped together beautifully here. Thanks @heartbeat1515 for bringing me here.
No problem. I thought it deserves a read.
