A lot has been happening recently in the BCH world since the introduction of Grasberg DAA.

After an intensive research on Grasberg DAA and BCH adopting the process, I'll be giving a brief review and insight on Grasberg DAA and its complexity to users.

What is Grasberg DAA?

Amaury Sechet also known as the benevolent dictator designed Grasberg and was announced by Bitcoin ABC On July 23, 2020, Grasberg is said to be a new difficulty program algorithm, with exponential functions with the aim to moderately change blocks intervals.

Major advantage and disadvantage of adopting Grasberg Into BCH

A lot of BCH investors and users have shown more concern over Bitcoin ABC adopting Grasberg DAA and also some smiled at the process, below I'll be discussion the Major advantage and Disadvantage of the Grasberg DAA.

Advantages

The Grasberg DAA was targeted to solve some major Problems existing presently in the Bitcoin cash block chain.

1 . According to Sechet, Grasberg is working to produce a block rather than the target,” Bitcoin Cash is not new to the chain but in fact uses it as the origin Block cause it was the major constituents of the hard Fork, “Choosing a reference pin point other than the origin block is effective and equivalent to recodifying BCH emission policy, which is a big NO.

A drift correction mechanism was included in Grasberg which will help eradicate what BCH has been experiencing in the past.

2 . The advent of Grasberg DAA in BCH will ensures more consistent block is produced, which will turn into more confirmation times for users of BCH, and also reduce recaps in which users run per-block limits.

3 . it also ensures that constant miners gets optimum profits, and alternate mining strategic plans

Disadvantage

The Grasberg DAA comes with a lot of demerits and is being condemned by a lot of bitcoin cash investors, miners and users, below are some few demerits why they believe Grasberg DAA won't hold water in BCH community.

1 . The Grasberg DAA algorithm bases the difficulty of each block on the previous block's difficulty The Grasberg algorithm was ment to be more simpler than Satoshi difficulty algorithm (ASERT)

From my own observation the meme competition brought about some selfish interest in forming the Grasberg DAA and I believe bitcoin cash should be controlled by a community and not an individual.

Somethings should be overlooked for the Growth of BCH, the vision of BCH shouldn't be truncated and I believe working together as a team has made BCH what it is today.
