"I have to be perfect. An effective way that can keep you from the meaning of happiness."

I'm not beautiful, I'm not handsome, I have little income, I don't have a high education, I come from a messy family, I'm too skinny, I don't have talent and other me-me-me that makes you feel inadequate and weak. I don't know since when that 'imperfect' feeling came and merged with you. But what is certain is that since these thoughts filled your head, you began to doubt the concept of happiness. You start to think that perfection is the key to success, and success is a sign that you can be happy.

"I have to be perfect so people think I'm powerless."

The things that you don't have while other people have them, you consider it a deficiency. You begin to follow existing standards in order to gain recognition that you exist and deserve to be a part of them. To cover your shortcomings, you must succeed in this and that field.

You make every effort to pursue life's achievements so that you appear as a perfect human-great-and shine. The more you are addicted to showing the bright sides that amaze people, the more you will seal your imperfections into dark corners that even yourself cannot reach. Weaknesses are things you don't want in yourself so you have to get rid of them.

"When you try hard to achieve perfection, that's when you lose yourself."

No human being is truly perfect, because perfection is just a goal that cannot be achieved by anyone. The opposite of perfection is not imperfection, but fear. You are afraid of not being recognized, afraid of not getting a place, afraid of being unworthy, afraid of not getting trust and pride.

While the imperfections that you have, you actually make it a justification for the cause of all your fears. Now you are exhausted, the happy picture that you strive for through perfect words turns out to be just a mirage. Your mind feels empty, you are trapped in a dark corner that you have created yourself.

Imperfection is a part of each of us. Because being a part of who we are, it means that it should be recognized and accepted wholeheartedly. Imperfection is not a bad thing, it's just that we ourselves label it as something of value that is weak and lacking, whose existence we do not want.

If we keep measuring the concept of happiness is to be perfect, then forever we really will not feel real happiness. Happiness is when we accept and be grateful for what we have, including imperfection itself.

The more we accept it, the more we embrace it, the more we are able to know ourselves. When we are able to be ourselves, that's when we also know the meaning of happiness. Isn't being able to understand yourself in harmony with being able to interpret the happiness of life?

“Look in the mirror, then say with all your heart: I am an amazing imperfection.”
