Consistent Dean's Lister since First Year

PUBLISHED: JULY 19, 2022 TIME: 5:48 PM ARTICLE #: 160 When I was given the opportunity to return to college years after giving birth to my son, I told myself that I would try my absolute best to graduate on time and make my parents proud. Being one of the Dean's Listers is my primary priority. This course that I am following right now isn't my first choice. Actually, I wanted to pursue Psychology, like what my elder sister studied years ago. She is my ideal role model and because she is now a licensed Psychometrician, I had high expectations to become one as well. But sadly, our parents didn't want me to pursue the course since they want us to become specialists in different industries. This is when I chose to follow the Business sector. I am currently doing Human Resource Development Management at Rizal Technological University here in Mandaluyong. One of the most famous state universities here in Metro Manila. I was skeptical at first about taking this course, but when my closest friend informed me that I could be the greatest version of myself if I enrolled here, I took some time to do some research on this course, and happily, I discovered that my personality and skills are actually a good fit here. First Year in college and got my first DL

When I got my two recognition awards for my first year in college, I sobbed and genuinely felt very proud of myself. Those restless nights spent working on several case studies on your own were well worth it. It feels like I am born to pursue this course. It was already a great achievement for me. But because I am just at the starting stage, I committed to myself that I will perform better in the future coming years. Second Year of being on the Dean's List

And here is another one, from the second semester of being a Sophomore College student. Received last Friday.

Studying amid pandemic is a lot of challenges. I even had some breakdown moments in my life and there are also times that I feel like already suddenly losing some hope. Because they are incredibly difficult to study, several of my subjects are starting to get on my nerves. I likewise had those terrible lecturers that usually give us a headache and tension. But do you know what keeps on motivating me? My dreams of course. *So to all of my virtual pals here who are still studying or experiencing some breakdown times in their lives, please, carry on and get yourself stronger. I wanted to thank you since you have also offered me a lot of advise and have been a great listener whenever I vent out about things here. I've grown stronger and better than I was before because of you. If you are here to congratulate me, then offer a self-clap to yourself as well because you were a great friend to me that helped me a lot. And this time, starting right now, I want you to lift your spirits and become a better version of yourself.
