Never lose your faith in God.

Seryo and Matilda were couples for almost 10 years and still they have not been blessed by the almighty God a child. They lived in a mountain far away from the village and living a peaceful and happy life together with their farm animals and healthy leafy vegetables.

One day, Seryo was sitting outside their house and thinking deeply. Then his wife came to him to ask what he was thinking.

Matilda: Seryo, what seems to be the problem? Is everything all right?

Seryo: Matilda, it's been 10 years that we've been together, and it's been 10 years that we were asking from above for a child but still, God hasn't listened to our prayers.

Upon hearing, Matilda suddenly felt sad.

Matilda: I'm sorry, Seryo. I might be the one who has a problem.

Seryo: No, Matilda. It's not your fault. It's no one's fault. Maybe God hasn't fulfilled our prayers yet, but I know He has planned something for us. Let's not lose our faith to Him.

Matilda: You are right, Seryo. I know someday we will have what we were asking from him.

The couple ended their conversation with a positive decision and then went to the farm to do their daily work.

Months had passed, a stormy night came. There is currently a strong typhoon surging in their place. And everyone in the village evacuated in a safe place to stay, but Seryo and Matilda stayed in their home.

Heavy rain are pouring and strong winds are rampaging the whole town. Luckily, the spot were the couple lives were surrounded by huge and strong trees and protecting them from the strong weather.

The couple tried to sleep peacefully together that night when they hear a loud knocking on the door of their house. Seryo immediately got up and went to see who's out there, and Matilda follows her husband.

When Seryo opened the door, the couple saw an old woman almost freezing to death. They were shocked for a moment and let the old woman come inside their home.

Seryo: What were you doing outside? Why didn't you came with the villagers to evacuate? And more importantly, who are you?

Seryo asked to the freezing old woman.

Matilda: Here, have some hot tea and put on these blanket around you.

Old woman: I'm so sorry to disturb you, I was looking here for something in the forest and I didn't know there is a storm coming. Can I stay here until the weather is fine?

Matilda: Yes you can, by the way, have you eaten yet?

Old woman: Unfortunately, not yet.

Matilda: I'll prepare some foods for you.

Seryo: And I'll go to prepare for your bed too. Will you be okay here for a minute alone?

Old woman: Yes, no problem. Thank you for the kind act.

The couple leave the old woman in their sala to prepare foods and its bed to sleep.

When the couple finished preparing, they let the woman eat and sleep and they also get back to their bed to sleep.

When morning came, the couple immediately got up to see the old woman, but they were shocked when the woman was not there anymore. Then they saw a piece of paper with a message in it:

"Both of you have kind hearts, I am wishing that your wish will get fulfilled"

They couple were happy with the message they received even if they haven't gotten the name of the old woman.

The life of the couple came back to normal. Everyday, they still hope that their prayers will be heard of having a child.

Months had passed after the typhoon was felt in the village, Matilda woke up with dizziness.

Seryo: Matilda, are you okay? You look bad.

Matilda: I don't know, Seryo. I don't feel well.

After saying those line, Matilda quickly run to the toilet and puke.

Seryo notice it and didn't know what to feel.

Seryo: Matilda, are you.... pregnant?

Matilda were shocked by his partner's question.

Matilda: I don't know.

Seryo: Can you walk? Would you mind if we go today in the village's center for a check-up?

Matilda: Yes, I am fine. Let's go.

The couple then went to the center in the village for a check-up.

After an hour of check-up, Matilda came out with huge smile on her face.

Matilda: Seryo, my love, 5 weeks.... I'm 5 weeks pregnant.

Seryo was shocked for a moment. He didn't know how and what to react.

Seryo: A-are you sure?!

Matilda: Yes

Matilda answered with a smile.

Seryo: I'm now Father?.... I'm now a Father! I'm now a Father!

Seryo shouted loudly inside the center and everyone inside was clapping and congratulate him.

The next day, the couple went to the church to thank God for their answered prayers.

Lesson: Never lose your faith in God, He always had a plan for everyone. It just takes time.
