Now look at Cain and Abel. They are growing up. Cain became a farmer. He grows fruits and vegetables. Abel became a shepherd.

Cain and Abel while offering sacrifices to God One day, Cain and Abel offered to God. Cain brought his crop. And Abel brought the fat of his flock. Jehovah was pleased with Abel and his offering. But he was not pleased with Cain and his offering. Do you know why? Not because Abel's offering was better than Cain's. Abel was kind. He loved Jehovah and his brother. But Cain was bad; he did not love his brother. God told Cain that he should change. But Cain was angry because God loved Abel more.

So when they were just two days into the field, Cain struck Abel with such force that he died.

Isn't that so bad? God still remembers Abel, even though he was dead. Jehovah does not forget good people like Abel. The day will come when Jehovah will resurrect Abel. So Abel will never die again. Isn't it nice to meet people like Abel? Cain fled after he had killed Abel But God does not like Cain. So when Cain killed his brother, God punished him. He was expelled from his family. Cain married one of his sisters, and it became his wife. Later the other sons and daughters of Adam and Eve also married and had children. So it was not long before man and the earth multiplied. Let's find out who some of them are.

Genesis 4: 2-26; 1 John 3:11, 12; John 11:25

Genesis 4: 2-26

2 Then she gave birth to her brother Abel Abel became a shepherd, but Cain became a farmer. 3 Some time later, Cain offered Jehovah the fruits of the ground. 4 But Abel brought the firstlings of his flock, and their fat. Jehovah approved of Abel and its offering, c 5 but he did not approve of Cain and its offering. So Cain and his allies were furious. 6 Jehovah told Cain: “Why are you so angry and so angry? 7 If you do well, will I not approve of you? But if you do not do well, sin is locked in the door and it wants to kill you; in but will you let it beat you? ” 8 Then Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out into the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. 9 Later, Jehovah said to Cain: “Where is your brother Abel?” He replied: “I don't know. Am I my brother's guardian? ” 10 So He said: “What have you done? Listen! The blood of your brother cries out to me from the ground.e 11 And now you are cursed; I will cast you out of the land, where the blood of your brother you have killed will be taken away. 12 Even if you were to plow the ground, it would not bear much fruit. 13 So Cain said to Jehovah: “The punishment for my sin is very great. 14 You have driven me out of the land now, * + and you will never see me again; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth, and surely every one that shall see me shall slay me. ” 15 So Jehovah said to him: “Consequently, whoever kills Cain will be avenged seven times more.” So Jehovah * sets a mark * for Cain not to be killed by anyone who sees him. 16 And Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah, and dwelt in the land of Escape, * east of Eden 17 Then Cain had intercourse with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Then Cain built a city and named it Enoch. 18 Later, Enoch became the father of Irad. And Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech. 19 Lamech took two wives. The name of the first was Adah, and the second was Zillah.

20 Adah bore Jabal. Jabal was the first man * to dwell in tents and take care of animals. 21 His brother was Jubal. Jubal was the father of all those who played the harp and the harp. * 22 Zillah also bore Tubal-cain, the forger of every kind of bronze and iron instrument. And Tubal-cain's sister was Naamah. 23 Then Lamech composed this poem for his wives Adah and Zillah: “Hearken unto my voice, ye wives of Lamech; Hear what I say: I killed a man because he hurt me, Yes, a young man for hurting me. 24 If Cain is avenged 7 times, i Lamech was 77. ” 25 Adam again married his wife, and she bore him a son. Eve named it Seth, * j because she said: "God * gave me another son * instead of Abel, because Cain killed him." K 26 Seth had a son, he called it Enos.l At that time, people started calling on Jehovah's name.
