Who is Responsible If a Singer Dies During a Public Performance?
The public performance of a celebrity artist is always risky.
A large number of spectators come to public performances of celebrity artists. If you check any recording of a star's live performance, such as Michael Jackson or Madonna, you will find how big the audience is in their programs.
The safety and security of the performing artists, accompanists, and the vast spectators become a subject of complex responsibility for the organizers and the local state administration.
Sufficient safety and security arrangements are generally preplanned in most top live performances. Minor chaos and agitation in the audiences are common in celebrity performances.

Who is responsible for any large-scale anomaly or mishap in public performances of celebrity artists?
When a mishap occurs, news media show it and dissect every stakeholder. News media require sales of the news. So, they report anomalies in organizations of public events. People watch it and forget the sad incident in no time.
When a top star singer falls ill and dies after or during the performance, the after effect is severe for the family of the artist. The star's family gets the tragic news. Either they come to take the dead body of their dear family member who is a husband/wife/father/mother/son/daughter.
Who do you think is responsible for the tragic death of the artist? No single person is responsible. The responsibility lies in the hands of many.
Who is responsible for the death of a celebrity Indian singer KK?
KK or Krishnakumar Kunnath fell ill during a live performance in Kolkata on May 31, 2022. He was complaining about the hot atmosphere inside the auditorium. He questioned about the non-functioning air conditioners. But, KK continued his singing performance.
The auditorium has a seating capacity of 2500. But, as per the news report, the organizers opened all doors and almost 7000 spectators entered the auditorium. Naturally, the air conditioning became insufficient.
KK completed his power-packed performance and returned to his hotel room. After entering the room, KK collapsed on a sofa. His personal secretary/manager took him to a hospital where the doctors declared that he had expired before reaching the hospital!

Who should have been more responsible in case of KK's sudden death?
The personal manager of KK, whose name is Hitesh Bhat, should have taken KK for a quick medical check-up during the performance when KK was repeatedly complaining of severe discomfort. It was reported that KK also felt uneasiness after the earlier day's performance. KK's manager could have consulted a doctor in the hotel room or taken him to a hospital for a quick check-up the previous day. After all, the manager is paid to look after the artist's well-being. But, he didn't perform his duty well. KK's manager failed miserably as a manager. After the performance, KK was brought to the hotel. Instead, KK should have been taken to a nearby hospital for an emergency check-up. Due to the callousness of the manager, KK couldn't get medical help in his time of need.
The organizers MUST have been strictly adhering to the limit of the auditorium's seating capacity (2 463). The overcrowded (6000+) auditorium made the environment suffocating and hot. The doors were also open, so AC became ineffective.
There should have been an emergency medical doctor and an ambulance at the auditorium.
The artist, KK, should say no to continue with the performance when he felt health issues.
The situation became worse for all the reasons mentioned above.
Bringing it altogether
The personal manager of a celebrity artist has got a very responsible role to play.
If the manager fails to perform their duty, the celebrity artist is bound to suffer during and after the performances.
KK's life could have been saved if KK's manager Hitesh Bhat had been a little bit more sensible and responsible. At least KK could have been rushed to a nearby hospital well in advance because KK showed several symptoms of uneasiness, and KK verbally expressed physical uneasiness.
The organizers of public live performances MUST arrange an emergency medical facility at the auditorium along with an ambulance.
The government administration MUST be fully responsible for complying with the safety and security norms at the auditoriums or places of public events.
Finally, every artist MUST love them and take care of health. The artists MUST NOT hesitate to give a warning call for medical help whenever they feel uneasy before and during live performances.

Humans should have feelings, if a singer looks tired when singing, you should rest first, if you are fresh then you can sing again.
