How to Detect False or Misleading Content?
There is a lot of filtering and censorship on the Internet.
In the era of the Internet, social media giants, big tech corporations, and government regulatory bodies execute a lot of filtering or censorship.
How do you (and we) know what misleading or inaccurate, misinformation or disinformation is?
How do you think you could detect false or deceptive content?
Can artificial intelligence (AI) alone perform the job?
Indeed, or most probably not.
The present situation of the Internet is already proof that AI can't solve the problem of fake content and fake news. It may increase the problem.
In fact, regenerative AI, such as ChatGPT, helps people generate plagiarized texts, synthetic images, videos, music, etc.
Humans can do it with the minimal help of AI.
Freedom of speech may serve some purpose.
Global citizens must have the freedom to ask questions.
In this scenario, the government regulatory bodies' functioning must be more transparent and unbiased.
