Connect academics, research, and entrepreneurship to create a three-dimensional educational system that is essential for the holistic growth of society.

  • Acquiring academic knowledge is the first objective of education.

  • Carrying out research and finding new knowledge is another objective of education.

  • Acquired knowledge must also lead to some avenues for entrepreneurship. That can help to learn how to earn revenues.

A holistic educational system must integrate academics, research, and entrepreneurship.

Isn't it a three-dimensional education with academics, research, and entrepreneurship as the three axes of a rectangular Cartesian coordinate system?

Academics is the first axis.

The first and foremost objective of education is acquiring knowledge. Most of the countries on the planet recognize this fact.

  • Some nations progressed in academics by good planning and regularly allocating resources for education.

  • Many nations are yet to provide education to all strata of the citizens.

In India, only a fraction of the population can complete a high school education.

I am not quoting the actual statistics to avoid embarrassment.

Higher education is still a dream for most Indians. That is also true for many other developing and underdeveloped countries.

Research is the second axis.

Unless we advance our knowledge by carrying out research, the state of academics remains static.

  • Advancement of knowledge is a must for academic growth.

  • Quality higher education is a prerequisite for good research.

The development of research projects requires systematic and regular allocation of funds.

  • Some nations have made significant progress in higher education and research. Many countries are slowly progressing due to paucity of funds.

  • In some countries, funds are being misused or poorly distributed among the disciplines.

Researchers of our country India have been making significant progress in some research areas despite inadequate funding by the government.

This is a reality for many other developing and underdeveloped countries.

Entrepreneurship is the third axis

A nation can't survive on its own unless the advancement of academics and research developments aren't utilized for entrepreneurship developments.

  • Transforming application-specific research outcomes into successful entrepreneurship is not impossible.

  • The inclusion of entrepreneurship education in high schools and colleges is essential.

  • Real-world entrepreneurial exercises in graduate schools can make a significant difference.

  • Many graduating students would engage in entrepreneurial ventures with seed funding from the university incubation programs.

The local governments have crucial roles to play.

The Indian government has finally turned to helping entrepreneurs.

Other developing countries and underdeveloped nations are also taking constructive steps towards entrepreneurship development. Better late than never.

3D education integrates academics, research, and entrepreneurship

  • The educational system without entrepreneurship remains incomplete.

We must connect academics, research, and entrepreneurship to create a three-dimensional educational system. 3D education is a must for society's holistic growth.

  • The educational policy of a nation must include entrepreneurship in the curricula from high schools to universities.

Three-dimensional education is essential for the holistic growth of society.

I love the article as the article advocates for a three-dimensional education system, connecting academics, research, and entrepreneurship. It highlights the importance of academic knowledge, research advancements, and utilizing these for entrepreneurship. The call for integrating entrepreneurship into education curricula, especially in developing nations like India, reflects a forward-looking approach for societal holistic growth.
